What a sound. Right before impact. I am sure the next race they have, VIP seating will be in a concrete bunker. This could of all been avoided. The FAA needs stricter guidelines on geriatrics flying aircraft. Wealthy men trying to re-live the glory days. " there are OLD pilots and there are BOLD pilots, but OLD and BOLD pilots there are few.". My prayers are with all the victims and the pilot, this was an easily avoidable catastrophe.

It was also an airshow, they had an old Huey from Vietnam there, people filled it with fuel and a pilot used it to take badly hurt people to the hospital, thank god people are so kind and brave in these horrible situations

Holy crap Are we just now hearing about this. Congratz on best video so far but dude really I just heard about this today after I got out of the gym looked it up and found out this happen like FRIDAY.... where was the news reports at the freaking fair ... God I hope those wounded will be alright and those 3 to more that lost a loved one or friend be comforted during this dark times.

About 15 years ago, I had a friend, Bill Speer who used to race a P51 at Reno. I remember asking how many inches of mercury the modified engine pulled on the intake manifolds. He responded by saying proudly "121!" I pointed out that a V 1650-7 was rated at 69 inches in full "War Emergency" and that (then) 55 year old castings were not as strong as new. I asked what if you blow a head gasket, did you ever think of fitting a Martin-Baker Ejection seat? He ripped me good, but he went in at Reno.
