Why am I seeing so many complaints? I mean, seriously, a new analog stick for PSP barely costs like 5 dollars, and you actually get 3-5 of them in a pack, depending on where you buy 'em from. @Dyingdragon9 None of the Sony consoles suck, my PS2 is almost 10 years old, I have dropped it countless times, and the only effect from this is a slightly longer startup time (like, 1-3 secs or something like that, and doesn't matter at all). Otherwise, it is in perfect condition.

On the other hand the Nintendo Gameboy Advanced that I got for $20 used a decade ago has survived being bashed, dropped in the tub, left outside, and every other sort of abuse that 5 brothers can dish out.

I also have had a Nintendo Gamecube which has also lasted since the turn of the century in perfect playing condition, and it only cost $90-100 brand new (even came with nice extras).

Honestly, even if I'd gotten these Sony gadgets for free they wouldn't have been worth the effort I've put into trying to maintain them, yet somehow they remain at ridiculously inflated prices despite them probably being less than $2 worth of plastic and glass.

I am so frustrated with Sony... I regret ever sinking any money at all into these pieces of shit or the games that I got for them but now can't play.

There is not a chance that I will ever buy another Sony console under any condition.

PS2: 1st controller slot won't work with dual shock controllers, won't read any DVDs, and has gotten so bad at reading games that it is unusable.

PSP: UMD drive crapped out and is barely limping on, and now my analog stick has snapped off as well (it was always getting stuck and drifting around on its own before this).

I know what you can do. I had the same problem. I bought a Stick at Ebay and removed it by myself. Look in youtube for "Analog Stick PSP". There is a video, how you can install the new Analog Stick. Its really easy !
