@topdollars2 For the late 80's and early 90's this car was the most available for soviet/russian people. And Oka wasn't so bad, of course, for those times. What we need to see is that this car is not for full family, but it's more than just a city car because of russian conditions of exploitation.

@Skoda130 Yeah, original model (VAZ-1111) had In-Line-2 engine with 22PS. Next version was a VAZ-11113 with more powerful engine (750cm3, 33PS, also 2 cylinders). Nowadays, main manufacturer of Oka, SeAZ, who produced this car longer than others (KamAZ, VAZ), put a new engine on it - In-line-3 (1.0 litre, 53hp and EFI instead of carb on old engines), produced by FAW.

Что самое удивительное - звук у данной Оки лучше, чем у остальных ВАЗовских двигателей. В чём секрет? Правильно - здесь три цилиндра, которые никогда не будут тарахтеть, как два, и никогда не будут орать, как четыре. Трёхцилиндровый движок всегда будут звучать также, как и кратный ему рядный шестицилиндровый. Так что Ока - в одном шаге от БМВ (шутка)!!!
