@123kcsee The original guitarist of Air Supply was not Rex Goh. Mark McEntee was the original guitarist, playing in the first incarnation of Air Supply with bassist Jeremy Paul, circa 1976. Both Mark and Jeremy would leave Air Supply some 18 months later and form Sydney New Wave band Divinyls (most famous for 'I Touch Myself'). Rex Goh joined Air Supply in 1980 and quit a couple of years later to form his own New Wave band called QED with their perfect-for-Hair-Salon hit 'Everywhere I Go'.

@123kcsee It doesn't work like that with Air Supply. Russell and Graham are the soul owners of the Air Supply 'enterprise'. Nobody else in the band receives the songwriting royalties - I think it was only performance royalties. The players were/are mere emploiyees and have always been. If you look at the early Australian-only releases (76 to 77) you'll notice that Jeremy Paul was photographed with Graham and Russell... Jeremy was a part of Air Supply for the long haul.

@nzoz1980 Jeremy was something like the third important man in Air Supply, but reasons unknown to me he was ejected; hence finding himself in the new band Divinyls, with ex-Supply guitarist Mark EcEntee. Unfortunately, Jeremy Pau claimed copyright ownership over some Divinyls tunes and was kicked out of the band. In other words, Jeremy Paul was kicked out of both Air Supply and his second chance band Divinyls.

As for Rex Goh, forming his own band may have seem more profitable at the time.

I do recommend you check out his New Wave band called QED and their song/video 'Everywhere I Go' (found on my nzoz1983 channel). QED's singer is Kiwi singer Jenny Morris and she carved a very successful career in Australia. Yeah, everybody go check out QED on nzoz1983... it's good hair-salon pop.
