you're AMAZING. i've been playing for almost nine years but i can't really play by ear much. do you have any tips? i can usually figure out the melodies just not the accompaniments.

@conversegirl1311 awww! Ur sweet! I don't really know what I can tell u as far as playing by ear tho :-/..I've been taking lessons since I was about 5...so 15 years...and my first years were spent learning Suzuki - a method of piano that helps u get familiar with the sounds and placements of keys. I was too young to know it then, but I believe that helped a lot.

@conversegirl1311 also...If ur having trouble with accompaniments, I usually just go with a chord that contains the note being played by the right hand. It's usually a sure fire way....But i'm sure you're a wonderful player :)

There is a feeling you get when you realise you can play something by ear. I am not a piano player - personally I find the whole two-hands thing utterly elusive :P - but I've done it a little bit with other instruments, and I imagine you must be feeling that feeling a thousand times over. And if you don't, you should - because that was amazing. And sounded extremely near perfect.

Oh, god, that is beautiful. I was in floods of tears watching Adam sing this (on YT, unfortunitly), but unlike so many covers out there, you've also put a lot of heart and soul into the playing of the song.

@sunshinerinjolson If you're in college check out the Financial Aid office and talk to the advisers. Show them your work, your interest, and your school progress. There are tons of programs that you can take advantage of with your talent.  If you're in high school research various art school colleges and talk to your high school advisor about qualifications for getting scholarship from schools of your interest. Informations are out there you have to find it.
