I found a possible way to deal with it being it so so hard to get help. I helped myself I use compassion to remove the anger and emptiness inside of me. Many nights thinking why me? Lord what did I do to deserve this life I live everyday. Was I that bad in my past that I have to suffer?

I am a combat, wounded, and decorated (2 Bronze Stars w/valor, Army Commendation w/valor & a Purple Heart) 101st Airborne Vietnam 66-67. I was divorced, child support (six daughters), Restraining Orders, and estrangement. Real men suck it up, give it to the Lord, and move on. i was in iraq 09/08/-09/09 and i got hurt over there andi suffer from ptsd i was lucky enuff to have a friend walk in on me when i lock n loaded on myself when i thought death was better off for me. They just keep dopein my up withdrugs that make me want to do it more some days. Ive been in the hospiol 2 times and it sucks. i have a 5 yr and all i want to do is a mother to him..an to he demonswithin...what do you know about it did u serve and if you have not everyone handles things the same.

the most fucked up thing i regret from the 4 years i spent overseas, was not being able to be there to provide peace to my cousins broken soul. and not being back home in time due to involuntary extentions, my cousin killed himself on september 19th, and as all news when your deployed comes late, i didnt find out till the day of my 23rd bday, just about a week later. i love it when ignorant fucks tell me i made a choice to do what i did. as if they were gonna go for me or some shit. cowards...
I have a brother that was not in the army, but he killed himself. I can not tell anyone the pain that I feel because of him. I have guilt that he was in that much pain and I never got him the help that he needed. Now, my friend's husband just tried to kill himself. He was in the military. I think it is soooo sad. I found a possible way to deal with it being it so so hard to get help. I helped myself I use compassion to remove the anger and emptiness inside of me. Many nights thinking why me? Lord what did I do to deserve this life I live everyday. Was I that bad in my past that I have to suffer?

I am a combat, wounded, and decorated (2 Bronze Stars w/valor, Army Commendation w/valor & a Purple Heart) 101st Airborne Vietnam 66-67. I was divorced, child support (six daughters), Restraining Orders, and estrangement. Real men suck it up, give it to the Lord, and move on. thank God i had a loving family who helped me when the country i fought for would not.

i was in iraq 09/08/-09/09 and i got hurt over there andi suffer from ptsd i was lucky enuff to have a friend walk in on me when i lock n loaded on myself when i thought death was better off for me. They just keep dopein my up withdrugs that make me want to do it more some days. Ive been in the hospiol 2 times and it sucks. i have a 5 yr and all i want to do is a mother to him..an to he demonswithin...what do you know about it did u serve and if you have not everyone handles things the same.

It's high time we as Americans realize PTSD from military service is not and should not be a stigma making those who do suffer from it feel ashamed and not seek the help they so desperately need. Yes, very sad and this will continue until senior leaders do more and soldiers get off all the PTSD meds etc. Many soldiers are pushed to their limits as if this makes them a better warrior. B.S. The natural elements will take you to your limits. A soldier does not need to be trained on how to be misserable. I was a Drill Sgt and Ranger Instructor and I worked as a team with my soldiers.Grow up and treat soldiers like soldiers not like a piece of dirt.

the most fucked up thing i regret from the 4 years i spent overseas, was not being able to be there to provide peace to my cousins broken soul. and not being back home in time due to involuntary extentions, my cousin killed himself on september 19th, and as all news when your deployed comes late, i didnt find out till the day of my 23rd bday, just about a week later. i love it when ignorant fucks tell me i made a choice to do what i did. as if they were gonna go for me or some shit. cowards...

I have a brother that was not in the army, but he killed himself. I can not tell anyone the pain that I feel because of him. I have guilt that he was in that much pain and I never got him the help that he needed. Now, my friend's husband just tried to kill himself. He was in the military. I think it is soooo sad. ive never served in the military, but the military commercials portray war as some kind of video game. its no video game.... as they all say, "war is hell on earth". you will see some of the worst atrocities that human beings can commit. we must keep the peace for as long as possible....

I too lost my brother to suicide. After my brother served two tours in Iraq, he came home and took his life on 9/28/05, he was 23 years old. I know your pain and I am so, so, so sorry for the lost. I pray for the family of this wonderful young man. May GOD keep him and may his soul rest in Peace. God Bless you.

Could have been a girl issue etc. - Freddie Prinz etc. kill themselves over love gone wrong or many other issues. He was too young to leave. It's very sad when people's families can't see it coming and be able to jump in to help. Poor guy, and family he leaves behind. Hero for the planets' freedom. RIP.

suicide is the worse way to lose someone, it can always be prevented and i know from experience that there is always a sign and no matter how they are acting if for one second at any time give a hint a vibe a tone anything never take it lightly.

its sad man i get teary eyed everytime i see the stars and stripes and read about fallen brothers. ive lost more friends since joining than i have growing up. and im from compton. its crazy the army will let u join use you for everything they can and then replace u faster than u can blink. i bet this kid asked for help and wasnt allowed to go to his appointment because of a saw range or something stupid.

First off i want to say I respect all soliders and I am sad for those who have died. I am not sure what this PSTD is all about and why people get it. I plan to join the Army in 2010. I wish someone would tell me why people are having issues with death and war. Maybe I am crazy and thats why I dont have an issue with killing and tourtureing someone for my country.I havnt been to war yet so i cant really say anything. I would just like a reason why people are soo messed up after war.

i was injured in iraq. army give me a pentition and sent me on my why. i hate the army so much. i lost my wife and kids and some really good friends. im going to die b/c im addicted to pain meds from my injurys. im such a junky i got to canada to get tyelnol 1 pills for my addiction. i live in my appt and live like a hermit.
