    for thiese treasure **

  • Awesome song thanks for sharing.

  • there never will be another saigal

  • This song was sung by K>L>Saigal only and not Mukesh.Infact when Dil jaltha hain sung by Mukesh was released, it seems everybody thought that it was sung by Saigal.

  • My father Irshad Husain from Karachi ( pakistan railways) grew up with him in India.. and used to sing his songs.. when he was alive..

    Niaz.. ( son)

    /what a voice...

  • @esty54 Nice!

  • Long live KLS. God's gift to music.

  • beauty in voice is careless for any religion this is just a master piece in all words

  • Who penned the lyrics, anybody with info

    regardless it is masterpiece.

  • he was the first Urdu ghazal singer on screen..He is Mahdi hasan's favrt

  • KL Saigal was the first ever true super star of Indian movies, then came the other singing and acting greats like Kishore, Suraiyya, etc.

  • this is so beautiful. i had never listened to saigal ji's songs until this one. and i m completely moved. thanks.

  • This, alone of its kind song devastates your being, overwhelms it, making you different everytime you hear it. A song that takes you much beyond enchantments and disenchantments. It is a shrine of beauty in pathos which, once you worship, converts your whole being. That is the plain ,easily unfoldable and yet completely impregnable mystery and aura surrounding the great Kundan Lal Saigal whose voice has given us treasures in music.

  • we are great full to the people who made theses song available for us to listen and look back ,,how great singer like K L Sahgal was,,

  • he was a great singer. who cares for his religion. thank you for posting this. Bhagwan, Khuda, God aapko khush rakhein.

  • so nice

  • GOD BLESS YOU.

    WHAT A LILTING SONG

  • my all time favorite.

feels like myself , as my story

  • I an so full of gratitude. And feel touched by a little wave in the ocean. The KL magic works still.

  • And will probably work for time immortal. Singers like Saigal are born once every few generations. Though I am from the present generation, thanks to my father Im fortunate enough to appreciate his music.

  • @bzulqarni The singer is Mukesh and NOT Saigal!

  • Long time ambittion fulfilled, much obliged

    Hussain

  • Wonderful to see the picturisation of the song one is so familiar with and loves.... by the way the 30 sec of the song earlier was charming too, and I only vaguely remember it. Has it been posted on youtube?

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • Fixed the problem. Look under my name.

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, excused ;-)

  • Both are superb songs. No need to apologize for poor quality ... In fact we are fortunate that music lovers like you take great trouble and being these gems to the world.

Again, thanks a lot and god bless you.

You made my day. ( No need to apologize )

  • You made my day. One of the most beautiful songs of all times. God Bless you.

  • The song in the beginning (Yeh Pyar Ke Baate.n Yeh Safar Bhool Na jaana) is Mukesh on Prem Adib in Anokhi Ada (1948). Naushad Ali's music on Shakeel Badayuni's lyrics. If possible, please post this number in full.

The only information that I can add about the main piece (Aye Qatib-e-Taqdeer Mujhe Itna Bata De) is that it's penned by Pandit Bhushan.

  • wow...a pandit wrote so great work of urdu.....amazing..

  • I found it surprising too. It 's from Meri Bahan (same as My sister: in those days they used to make these translations, I suppose) 1944. The song Do naiana matware tihare is from the same movie I'm sure.

  • especially when it is sung by a person who was half sikh

  • What does religion have to do with this?

  • You are right why the religion is brought into everything?even in the art! why is this behaviour?
