  • frank abagnale jr ended up working for the fbi and so should steven russell

  • The Government should use his talent instead of locked him up.

  • I watched "I Love You Philip Morris" last night, wasnt expecting much but i thought it was a brilliant film. You cant help but feel sorry for the guy, he didnt hurt anyone, didnt show any violence whatsoever and ended up with 144 years just for escaping 4 times. Pretty harsh i though. I advice anyone to watch the film, its really good.

  • he did some wrong things but love will make u do stupid shit, right?

  • Can't stand the Canadian narrator.

  • Prolly cuz he's gay

  • the FBI should be using him rather then locking him up, considering how many times hes out smarted everyone

  • why do the people being interviewed come across as bigger psychos than the actual convict???

  • dr see you later hahahah

  • Hes the bomb ;)

  • Why is this guy not the president of the United States?

  • just finished the film. smart shit wish they could be together

  • I love this man..

    He is amazing..

  • fuck Bush I can't believe he gave him a life sentence just because he embarrassed the legal system of the state he was governing and exposed the cracks and faults it had. To have an ego that big to ruin somebody's life is just disgusting, I suppose that's what it takes to become president...

  • Thumbs up if you just finish watching "I Love You Phillip Morris" lol

  • The only reason he got a life sentence even though he doesn't deserve it is because the fucking system wants revenge for the fact that Russell bested them several times.

  • Sigh.. another smart mind gone to waste. His release will be in 2140. Not 2040. For the things he's done he does deserve a prison sentence but I'm not sure if life sentence was the right choice or legal amount provided. This guy could've done some good for the world if he put his mind to it.

  • @Jayeeyee agree. Rapist, murderers and pedophiles go to prison for less than a decade and then they're free to go and never to think about what they committed again, especially since they're protected. But Russell who never actually hurt anyone can never get out again or interact with someone ever again. WTF? Didn't Frank Abagnale, Jr get recruted by the government, why couldn't they have done the same with him?

  • This was an incredible story. I wish Discovery Channel wouldn't dumb down their documentaries with hokey re-enactments and over the top narrators. Ugh!

  • Medical Management company? Their the biggest thieves of all... Why aren't they in jail?

  • I love how this fugitive finder thinks he is so cool, when clearly if you find Philip Morris you find Steven Russel. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

  • Look, he won't do anything anymore unless hes stupid but hes not. Release this genius already.

  • 144 years is astronomical 44 years is too much.

  • His release 2040 :\ he was born in 1957. :| He's gonna be dead by then. Mann this guy is a freakin GENIUS! My gosh and he didn't kill anybody he just was smart and sneaky just put him on Dang probation and let him go!

  • 144 years for what !!! Outsmarting the system...seems a bit excessive. The guy never hurt anyone. Well I guess just the massive egos of the Texas prison system. What a shame!!! 144 years :-(

  • @delaniemurray1 A good lawyer should be able to get him out. He is not violent, he is not a threat to anyone, he's not even a drug abuser. Like the movie noted, the state of Texas (the Governor Bush) was embarrassed. That sentence is purely punitive. In what law book does it say one should get 100 years for breaking out?

  • He Is To Smart , He Will Get Away Somehow

    He So Smart Is Dangerous

  • SO....Because he embarrassed the State of Texas....he is sentenced to LIFE? Seems shitty to me.

  • I work at the unit where he is currently under a 23 hour lock down. Interesting to find out.

  • Well at least he wasn't dangerous he was just brilliant

  • he has talent, why not make a cia agent

  • This guy is a genious. They should let him go already!

  • This man is my Idol!

Long live Dr C.U. Later <3 Free Stevie Russel

we are still on time! Thanks!

  • Aunque supuestamente Ask Marilyn tenga la nota del coeficiente intelectual mas alto del mundo, él ha COMPROBADO su coeficiente intelectual tres veces más que ella.

  • jesus, Texas is stupid. This is the best they could for a genius? he barely hurt anyone.

  • @jdj106 you dumbass texas isnt stupid hes a FUKIN GENIUS! he could escape from anyone duh!

  • I normally don't say this about con men, but he is amazing! :)

  • Loved the film with Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor.

    Brilliant.

  • Gotta love him

  • wow the most amazing part of this story is when he fakes his aids for a whole year under 24 hour watch wow!!!

  • Texas dont like smart people or gays, prolly why they gave him forever in jail

  • hes not dangerous...hes just smart as fuck...

  • The world is a much more interesting place for having men like Mr Russell in it.....

  • Watch "I love you Phillip Morris" great movie about him!

  • 165 iq. Damn. What a waste. Never killed a man in his life either

  • he never got a college education, I believe. That in addition to his history....no one would hire him without him lying....which he did compulsively.

  • I wish they went into more detail about all the escapes....this man is brilliant

  • what i find weird is how he was genius enough to escape prison multiple times, but he couldnt think of a way to stay out of jail or not get caught again... this guy wasnt all there i don't think.

  • As much as we all loathe a con man, it's hard not to be impressed with this guy's brilliance.

  • @Marchant2

yeah...and I don't know how true I love Phillip Morris is, but if anything in that movie was true, as bigger than life he might be he's a complete romantic

  • the funny thing is that he will eventually find a way out of this prison xD

  • I love you Steven Russell!

  • this guy is so intelligent he should not be in jail rather teaching people skills but not skills that he did like in life but he is a genius and he shouldnt be locked away per say he could do something great with what he has

  • Osama is free!

  • He's an artist. the guy shouldn't be in jail really... haha

  • i saw the movie!!!! what i dont understand is why the hell did they give him a 144 prison sentence who the hell is going to live to their 300 years old?

  • wow this guy has NEVER ever hurt someone, and I am so glad I watched the movie. He is clearly a SMART man, and he has NEVER hurt anyone.. may i repeat. Why the hell should he get 114 years??

  • @LucyRockprincess

He was an embarrassment to the government (which is a pretty stupid reason)

  • A real life michael scofield.

  • ik he dye the clothes...but what i dont get...how did he get out of his cell with that green uniform????????????????????????

  • @SOyouTHINKurFUNNY he pretended he was a dr.. thats why he had a green uniform on :)

  • @LILJOKERDOTCOM yea i know that but how did he get out of his cell with the green uniform...obvioisly it was the only clothes he had but then he dye it green. u get me?

  • @SOyouTHINKurFUNNY Watch the film I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS Green is what doctors wear I think I havnt seen the film in ages

  • @DrLeonardBonesMcCoy DUDE IK!!! everyone...ik he made his uniform green to get out as a doctor....WHAT I REALLY WANT TO KNO...he obviusly dye it green in his cell, so how did he get out from the cell without the officers tellin him, wassup with the green uniform....GET IT!?

  • @SOyouTHINKurFUNNY Well maybe they were all the prisoners were aloud out of their cells.

  • @SOyouTHINKurFUNNY Prisoners are allowed out of thier cells daily to work or go out on the yard etc. He could have stashed his green uniform somewhere the day before or even somewhere on his body. The prisoners are not always personally escorted out of thier cells. The cells electronically open and the inmates choose to stay or exit thier cells.

  • who was better??steven? or the guy from catch me if you can??i said steven

  • A life sentence for a white collar crime now that excessive punishment, murders are treated better. Ironically just saw the film i'm in austin and I didn't even know this was a real story.

  • The movie made him out as too much of a hero. His adventures were amazing and he's no doubt a genius, but he is still a criminal and still belongs in jail.

  • @DulBeat

He doesn't deserve 144 years in jail. He didn't hurt anyone.

  • @PinheiroIllness85 well he did steal ALOT of money from people

  • @PinheiroIllness85 Yea i think they just added up all the crime he did together and it came up to 144 years.

  • @PinheiroIllness85

    yes so damn unfair

Frank Abagnale JR. was released after only 5 years to help the force

  • even though he dyed the clothes green, how did he get out of the cell?

  • HIs escapes are so basic and simplistic. Amazing guy

  • Fuck "Terry Cobbs". Steven Jay Russell RULES.

  • I think even Bernie Madoff was worse then Steven Russell, he caused people to commit suicide and he live the high life for years.

  • donkey boner

  • If that investigater's job is to find "Texas' most dangerous fugatives" then why the hell was he looking for Steven Russell?

All Steven was doing was playing off the naivete' of people. Our government and every major company does the that every day and they aren't considered "dangerous".

  • It is a travesty how long this guys jail sentence is, especially considering wall street bankers steal billions from average people while this guy defrauds a company and gets a life sentence. Wall Street gets rewarded with more tax payers money when they should be hung.

  • i dont get it....Russell isn't dangerous....he hasn't harmed anyone...maybe financially but not physically XD

  • let him out and stick swap him for Tom Cruise

  • He "preys on people"? No such thing. He's never once shown signs of violence or even a tendency towards violence. Is he ethical? No. But his wonky ethics mainly effect large and impersonal corporations. He's more intellectually capable than 99% of the population. That alone should be reason to reduce his 144 yr sentence or at least provide him with a more stimulating environment than isolation 23 hrs per day. Judge tossed the book at him b/c he embarrassed Texas officials, plain and simple

  • I'd like to see this guy meet Frank Abignale Jr.

  • KING CON

  • Dr C.U. Later

    That alone is genius.

  • @Dementedrox

    LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @Dementedrox He probably really spelled it Leighter or Leichter, but the reinactors probably didn't think we'd get it, lol

  • I totally love this man lol

  • Oh and 14:41 why does the guy who's playing Phillip Morris look a bit like Steve Carell in Dinner for Schmucks? lol

  • lol, this is more of a documentary whereas I love you Phillip Morris is a comedic view of the whole story.

  • 163 IQ!!!!!!!!!!!!! 144 year on prision?????,,The petition states that Steven isn't a violent person and the sentence of 100+ years in a maximum security jail looks more like an act of rage than real justice.

  • @SteefJay yeah its just ridiculous theres ppl for murder in for less, the thing is how do you control him XD

  • This guy was a genius, he escaped 5 times from prison! There is even a petition going on that wants him out of jail xD

  • Pssh $800,000 is nothing. How many millions do CFO's steal from their own companies and label them "bonuses"? He was probably the least crooked CFO that company ever had. Not to mention how many billions were stolen from U.S. citizens during the financial crisis.

  • I just watched I Love You Phillip Morris and I thought thay were taking the piss, the guy is a bloody genius.

  • @slaine4free yeah! great movie!

  • Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

  • she should be cypriot president to send away turkish

  • this guy was a fckng genius! thank you for uploading this!. where can i download this documuntary?

  • @xmhyanx

I found only this 2 parts-lowQ-video on tudou.com. But search continues..

  • @xmhyanx This is one of the few cases where the term 'genius' actually applies. This guy was found to have an IQ of over 160, which definitely places him in the genius range. I just finished watching I Love You Phillip Morris. Great film and Jim Carrey is freakishly good. Highly recommended

  • @xmhyanx sucks that he didnt use his wits at that medical company and make millions..prob billions one day

  • @bigrndahouse no. impossible. even so not bilions

  • @WonGood just a thought tho

  • @xmhyanx there's a whole movie about it on Netflix. I just watched it with my g/f. I heard that it's actually pretty accurate. It's called "I love you Philip Morris". It's kinda funny (has Russell's played by Jim Carrey)

  • he is the smartest criminal in all world , he should be president of USA not Obama !

  • OMG, thank you for posting this! I've always wanted to see it, I love the book and the movie.

  • @sanstar922

Yes, it took me some time to find this :o))
