  • >that feel when you saw these credits for the first time

    >the most epic moment of your childhood

  • also-- 4:17 almost cried most memorable music.

  • one of the best by far games of my past star fox is legendary from gameplay and music.

  • Set in the softness of the polygons, higher than sega saturn panzer dragon hahahaha SNES certainly a myth in video games

  • Este es uno de los mejores juegos de la historia de super nintendo, SONIDO NEO-GEO en estado puro

  • ATTENTION STAR FOX FANS! Once the "The End" screen appears, wait for at least 20 minutes, and you will hear a small chunk of the Star Fox end music in a different way. I'm NOT kidding. Try it yourself.

  • Audio/Video timing started to slip.

  • AMAZING GAME <3

Falco was a dick in that game, everytime he asked for help, you give him it, then he complains that you stole his kill. Ahh, good old Falco.

  • @ElectricGuitar666X Falco kinda looks like Mordecai too

  • back in the day when u thought u were the best in the world.. no internet to show u otherwise.. times were good!!

  • Well i might as well say it since you guys have, I pratically 20 and i played the NES and snes, Games back then had a certain power, an emotional one. Today, if you beat a game, it's like a small little woo, But back then, if you beaten a tough or somewhat easy NES, SNES, N64, you felt very accomplished, seeing the ending, and then the credits, listening to them (if ya did), It's a very cliche saying but....they really don't make games like back then.. :(

  • Man, I wish I could experience this game without having to use an emulator.

  • For those of us who grew up playing these game - we can truly say that we were the pioneers of gaming. Everything back then was fresh and new. There was never a dull moment - except for E.T.

  • @Einhander49 I totally agree w/ you. Young Kids say that everything is better now, better sound, graphics, etc. I'm 31 and people like you and me and past generations before us never saw anything like this before. You are right, we were pioneers, no internet, no cell phones ,just gaming..

  • @stupormundi7 hehehe im 14 and i feel left out tat you guys got to play such epic games when you were young im tellin you they dont make games like they used to

  • @stupormundi7 so true. Everything was harder back in the day. But those hardships did build better character and deeper appreciation of technology's progress.

  • Today i regret more than anything...i sold my 8-bits sega/nintendo--16bits megadrive/snes. Is there a reason to be ashamed, indeed. Was i young and naive, and needed a few extra bucks, for my next generation console, indeed.

I had a great kid/teen life, with lots of friends as we grew up. But Gaming was also large part of my life as well. I would go so far as saying, gaming isnt just gaming, its a lifestyle, and means alot to some people, including myself....just dont overdue it ;)

  • this must come to virtual console. and the unreleased star fox 2 too

  • I'll never forget when I heard Fox speaking to Pepper in the end there. I almost shat myself, that was the first I ever heard voice acting in a 16 bit game.

  • thank you, good times

  • I remember I was so into this game in first school I kept making the Star Wing craft out of lego. That's it; where the fuck's my Super Nintendo!?! *rummages*

  • makes me wanna be 4 years old again!

  • wow it used to look this bad? haah i remember getting older and beating this in like 30mins....ahaha i miss this game, =]

  • how did U get a 77%?????????

  • God i miss the 8bit-16bit era, the greatest time in gaming history.

  • I specially like music at 3:12. It kind of gets me into the Litat System. :)

  • Hmm, the programming team weren't Japanese - I wonder how that worked out, with most of the game design/graphics apparently done in Japan.

This is a pretty amazing game - the SNES wasn't underpowered, but it wasn't really designed for sexy 3D. But Starfox pulled it off brilliantly!

  • why did the music end so early? :P

  • Ah the memories. Good times!

  • soo basically star fox 64 was an almost exact replica of this? never had a chance to play this 1 but hear so much about it..

  • @meastsidem

Not exactly. Star Fox 64 was a remake of the original game. With lots of stuff from the cancelled Star Fox 2 thrown in.

There are things that would be unfamiliar to you in this game if you only played Star Fox 64.

  • i had an amiga and snes in this year, both gave me wonderful memories, thankyou. the 16 bit era was limited but in my opinion better than that of later era's..

  • Wow! Star Fox's ending theme really brought back memories! I remember how epic it all seemed back when I was 12 or 13. Thanks for posting this.

  • Man, it's STILL epic. The SNES had an awesome sound processor, and could handle the orchestral symphonies that made up the game's soundtrack.

  • i never beat the phantron.

  • FUCK THE DANCING INSECTOR he always gave me the hardest problems.

  • "Come in Corneria."

"This is CorNELia. Congrats on a job well done..."

  • does any one know how i can get the song that plays when the bosses are showing on my ipod. man i love this song.

  • download a youtube-mp3 converter.

  • LOVE LOVE :d:d::d:d old good times :) :)

  • awesome game, awesome music! Good times

  • General Pepper: Congrats on a job well done now go act like a normal puppy

    Fox: Arf Arf

  • best game ever. i used to beat it every day.

  • fox: "de deb debba dibd debba" always remember the music@ 2:15. nice

  • Totally agree.

  • Yes, the voice acting was even better than Resident Evil, which came years later.

  • This really should be on ds! I mean, look at thge control layout of snes! snes controls=DS controls! They're exactly the same

  • Why not the 64 version as well.

  • holy vintage!

  • flaco sounds like hes saying "doo doo damnit"

  • now this......this was truly an epic game.

  • same for me. the best game of all time IMO

  • this remains my favourite game of all time

  • The music that plays during the boss montage is one of the best video game tracks ever. If they did that at the end of every star fox game ever I'd buy it just to see & hear the new version.

  • Why don't they release it to the DS????!!!

  • I wanna head back to Corneria too!!!

  • y not? it would sell.

  • And the Virtual Console along with Stunt Race FX?

  • Who did the voices?

  • I think Patrick Stewart and Terence Stamp, it had to be. Great job on the voice acting!!

  • Oh man. I still have 2 super nintendos. However, I can't play it cause it ain't mine. My brother took it to college. So I can't play!!!!

  • The first time I beat this game I started crying, when I was little, it took me hours to beat this game, but in the summer of 2003 everything changed, til this day, this game still makes me cry, and star fox has a special place in my heart.

  • Castlevania 3, Zelda 3 , super mario world , metroid ect ect and this...i remember the days when snes was dominating the gaming scene, ohhh what times it was. This really bring back memories.

Im have 20 years of gaming xp behind me and i intend to keep going, gaming is a lifestyle ;)

  • makes you want to be 13 again. damn that was over 15years ago. aww how time flies! definitely one of my favorite & most memorable game. looking forward to becoming a 60+ year old video-game veteran on day.

  • @xomouxo Looking forward to becoming a veteran myself as well, been along the ride since the atari/commdore64 days....*cry*

  • memories!

  • many many many hours spent (lost) to this game great video

  • all of them.

  • ah the memories, i loved this game. I didnt like Titania though. which level did you guys like best, my favorite was space armada

  • Likewise.

  • Yeh I cant belive I used too call up the video hire place ask them too hold it for me walk all the way too town and hire this game for 8 bucks a night!!!!!!!!!! And it used too blow me away the graphics I thought were out of control. But now geeez. Wonder what the games will look like in another 10-15

  • Back in the day the graphics in Star Fox blew me away, now they look so laughably primitive compared to today's games. Still an awesome game though.

  • loved the music and that there was voice acting in a snes game..that was just legendary

  • loved the music and that there was voice acting in a snes game..that was just legendary

  • Ah...i've always loved the music here.

  • OMGZ! VOICES! And Fox sounds like Luke Skywalker lol

  • Impressive ending theme.

  • I love the music from 02:13 to 04:14 but especially from 02:43 to 03:41.

I used to complete the game on Level 1 just to hear the music. I'd move the cartridge so the game would crash and then the music would continously play.

  • This was Nintendos First 3D Game.

and SMASH BROS was going to be on the NES.

  • do you have proof?

could you send me a web url, coz i would be really interested in this

  • It's true that this was the first 3D game on the SNES. It made use of the Super FX chip. There were 3 such games to use this chip. Star Fox, Stunt Race FX, and Vortex.

  • doom dont use it too?

  • Doom used the Super FX 2 chip, not the same thing. BTW, I forgot that Dirt Trax FX also used the Super FX chip.

  • Actually, Smash Bros was going to be on the Super Nintendo with Star Fox like graphics.

  • @Jac2Mac wat?

  • This game is the straight UP SHIT!!! Still the best SF hands down.

  • wait a minute, to control a 3D game , you don't need an analog controller?

  • whow! a super nintendo game in 3D

  • weeny

  • Coolest ending theme ever. Great game.

  • So many memories... I was going on 12 when my mother bought me this game. It's still one of my all-time favs. I just wish I still had it and my SNES. lol

  • I like the song when they show the game bosses at the end. I bought this game off of eBay in August, and I TOTALLY beat this game about a week ago, because I had to fix my SNES.

  • I was scared to death almost when I saw Andross

    LOL

  • Don't feel bad, the same for me too!! LOL with you as well!

  • shit, this bring back my memories when I played that game! I was 4 years old!

  • yeah, i was like about 5 or 6 when i got this game.
