DOOM sega 32x gamplay with comentary/review

people mistakenly critise jaguar & 32x very early conversions of doom for having less levels.

this is because they were developed using the original doom release before ultimate doom came out which contains an extra episode (95) and before doom 2 came out. ( oct 94)

alot of critism is unfairly placed on these versions for not including content that even id had not released or may not even have been completed at the time.

I immediatly spotted that you claimed the graphics are better than the jaguar.

even if the resolution of the 32x version equaled the jaguar

the textures dont look as smooth, it cant be played full screen, and the frame rate is a lot slower.

i wonder how you can substansiate that claim ?

you cant make a fair judgement playing through an emulator.

32x is not the worst version of doom.

3d0 & saturn, suffer from almost unplayable slow downs and sluggish gameplay.

but the 32x is a decent enough port

The imps fireballs are slower because you're playing the unoptomised PAL version, hence it's 50fps. It will be proper speed on the NTSC version. Also, respect how groundbreaking this port was to Sega gamers at the time, we had very few games like it. At the time (1994), it was probably the best console port of Doom.

the psx is the best port dude i have ultimate doom doom 2 final doom and doom 3 also ressorection of evil however. i need the doom 64 doom for psx and final doom for the psx darker games but over all i love doom . you are right this looks better then the nsnes iwanna cheak out the 3do just to see.
