After a shitty boring start to the second half of the first 2000's decade (whatever it's called), this has given more enjoyment to mainstream pop and rock than it's had in so frigging long. It's a great music video (in one shot) that can be performed live in it's entirity, it's an awesome concept, performance art, and it's physical comedy how physical comedy should be. It's genius entertainment that's wot it is.

Wow, nice to know a band that makes music focuses more on dancing and doesnt really care to perform the actual song. We hate it when Ashlee Simpson does it, and LOVE it when these guys do it...probably cause they suck. Hey, I wouldnt want to hear it live, it sucks enough.

And those moves are basic choreography while holding handrails. They do nothing but walk sideways and forward when theyre ACTUALLY on the treadmill and not holding a handrail.

It's cool & original. But you all talk about how hard it must be. Even though its part of their moves, they resort to the handrails often, making it very easy to recover from a misstep & make it seem intentional. It's cool, no doubt. But why not perform the song live? Heaven forbid they PLAY MUSIC! Instead, its qued up & they do the same dance wed seen 500 times on MTV, on here, etc. I hate to say it cause this dance IS original, but id like more than just letters on the treadmill.

I suspect they didn't perform it live because the the producers of the show wanted them to do the treadmills. They're not a powerful enough band yet to insist on getting to play things their way (assuming they even wanted to). In a way, they are trapped by the success of that video because now everyone will always associate the song with it. The same with the A Million Ways dance. They've got to do it at every performance instead of just being able to play the song straight.

Obviously their appeal is the fact that they dance. It's basically dancing with a side of a music, and if you don't like it, oh well. The main aspect of it is the dancing, that's pretty obvious considering this isn't their first video doing something dance-related.
