Its logical to say that Christ may have been a rip off from similar deities that circulated around in Asia and Europe, but the fact pre-Columbian deities like Quetzalcoatl and Viracocha shared striking similarities to Christ makes no sense by the standard of mainstream archeology. Because of this, I think there was an original knowledge of Christ in the collective, human unconscious even before he was born.
He was much more human than the other gods though, and I think that's, in part, the cause success of the spread of Christianity. Pastor Justin should take a second listen to the song. It's not a diss to Jesus Christ, it's referencing a woman who has fallen victim to the poisons of city. They already widely recognized figures like Odin, Tammuz, Mithra, Horus, etc, being crucified, but he was a more human variant that was more obtainable. As a Christian, I believe that we have a responsibility to share the Word if God. We also have a responsibility to be informed! The contextual meaning of his words change the meaning that is given. If you don't believe context is important, then review the Sharon Sherrod story!! If, in fact, you still feel the same, then 'dissing' may not be the best approach! Perhaps, teaching is what's in order!

As for context, there are no facts. The only fact of the matter that cannot be argued is that which was actually said. Like PJ said, Jay did not need to say that in the song. It was unnecessary and directly insulting, but what PJ is focusing on in is the fact that we don't see it that way.

If you use the lyrics in the context they were witten in you would see that he's speaking of the 'night life'. "Jesus can't save you, life starts when church ends" is referring to the fact that these women start their 'life' at night, when church is out, and therefore they will NOT see a church or the 'church folk' whose ministry ends, when church lets out! Let's get off YouTube, making a platform to glorify SELF, and go into the streets and save lives, to the glory of God!!

Life doesn't begin when church ends... everyday you can either listen to worship songs or chat with friends about or read the bible... That's what most Christians do (or should be doing), you shouldn't limit God to a single day of the week.

Pastor Justin should take a second listen to the song. It's not a diss to Jesus Christ, it's referencing a woman who has fallen victim to the poisons of city. What Pastor Justin is doing is picking out a small part of the song and unfairly criticizing it. A lot like how some people open the bible to a random page and pick a verse at random and misinterpret it. I wonder if he's even a real pastor?
