the indigenous people of iberia were a mix of the ibers and celts who came southwards the continent until they ended up in the iberian peninsula. both the cultures mixed giving origin to the celtiber people. even though centuries of christianism sought to control the culture, pagan beliefs, music and tradition still survived in mountain villages and isolated places. we can still see some of them here in Portugal, for example

@ocaoocidental Yes there is. Ireland and Northern Spain were in contact since the Anglosaxon invasions. Many of the original Celtic inhabitants of the British Isles escaped and landed in Normandy, Galicia and Asturias.

Esta musica se parece tanto a la musica celta de Irlanda, o Gales!!!

Pero lo interesante es que en el siglo XIV la gente comun no sabia tanto que eran celtas, o si lo sabian no se comparaban tanto con los Irlandeses o los Escoceses, pero esta musica se asmeja demasiado, de echo, la progresion de acordes que usan es muy usada en la musica irlandesa (pueden verlo en una cancion irlandesa llamada she moves through the fair) y la melodia tambien tiene tipos celtas.
