God they were good back then! Even the writing was better than I remembered. My mom and sisters and I used to watch Days every night after dinner. Even my dad started to enjoy it! I miss the good old "Days".

You know what it was. The writers "built" a super-couple. They started with a great chemistry like these two and brought them along slowly. You tuned in every day to watch what happened today . They built it up over months to the "first kiss" then the "first I love you" then after a year or more the "first time they make love". Now the writers start a couple off in bed and go backwards from there. Its a mess and theres no magic anymore. There is something to be said for the antisipation!

You are right....look how long it took them to build up to their first kiss. Times have changed the magic is gone. There are very few supercouples around that can compare. S&K had a beautiful love story.

Aww, I absolutely love Steve's line "I cant figure out why you want a one-eyed bum like me, I don't know why! There's something human in that line, shows that Steve is scared of his feelings for Kayla, but still he admits caring about her deeply. And I absolutely love that "Sweetness"-nickname Steve has given Kayla. I can't help but wonder if Stephen Nichols actually made up the nickname himself or what...

The title is If Your Heart Comes Out Tonight. It was written specifically for Steve and Kayla by some composer on Days.

What a wonderful treat! I was so crazy about this couple that I actually dreamed about them sometimes. Like everyone else I breathlessly awaited this first kiss, but on the day this episode aired there was some local news break-in and the broadcast was delayed by a couple of hours. Since I taped Days while I was at work, I missed The Big Kiss and I never got a chance to see this wonderful scene until just now. Thank you so much for sharing it!
