Looks like a delightful pudding, Marc, and I think with all that Eagle brand it'd definitely not need more sugar. I haven't had a rice pudding for ages and just may have to build a batch of this.

Sorry to see the mood shattered by the loss of Figgy. Parrots live remarkably long lives, but mortality doesn't hold punches. 40 years is a life-long relationship, crushing to have suddenly cut off.

Grieve, yes, but don't go into hiding. Stop in for a hug as needed. You know who your friends are.

@anmoose Thanks, Moosie. I'm feeling better. I always suffer so much guilt when I lose a loved one, be it person or pet. I'm lucky to have my friend Jim, as well as online friends like you who are always there to be supportive.

I'd try it, but never really had rice pudding of any sort as a kid. I remember my grandparents speaking highly of it though.

I'm so very sorry Marc. Forty years is such a long time. Most marriages don't last that long! We had a cat that lived for 23 years, and I know how I felt when she passed on. It is indeed though, a wonderfully decent lifespan. Your generosity in sharing another beautiful recipe with us before your time out is very much appreciated. We'll be here when you return my friend.
