I personally follow both IndyCar and NASCAR...I've been a NASCAR fan longer, but I enjoy watching races of each. They both have pretty good finishes (although, in 2011, Indy has not nearly had the finishes NASCAR had).

Sure he was a rookie as well, but he somehow managed to hit the wall in turn 4 with so big of a lead that he almost finished 1st (and finished 2nd cuz he had such a lead...I mean hitting the wall in turn 4 and sliding along it to the line, and still finishing 2nd!! Come one! He could've put the clutch down in turn 4 and coasted to the line to win it...instead he hit the "marbles"......

@jwtravel  1st off, J.R. would have never "braked" in turn 4....he would have lifted. Brakes are irrelevant at Indy except for pits and avoiding crashes in front of you. I didn't have to watch the videos (since I was sitting dirrectly on the yard), but I did anyways and there is absolutely no way Wheldon would have won if J.R. wouldn't have crashed. Like I said, J.R. could've pushed the clutch down and coasted to victory...He nearly won it after sliding down the whole front against the wall.

Marco blew the race on the entry to Turn 3. If you pause it, you can see he starts his turn-in earlier and a full car-width farther down than Hornish does. He must have had to get out of the throttle big time near the apex because Hornish was right on his tail by the time they entered the short chute. An awesome finish, though!
