I don't think Brian's point is that Tuvan throat singing isn't real, it's that videos of amazing feats on the internet can be easily faked. Brian can't do it for real, but through the miracle of modern technology he can fool people into thinking he can.

I like your videos and I don't know if you're saying that throat singing is not real. If you are then you should do your research more throughly, a simple JSTOR search would've given you two articles that talk about throat singing, otherwise known as overtone:

well, two tones is possible and some people perfected it. once a third tone comes in, its clear that its fake.

Here Bobby McFerrin uses a wide range of advanced techniques, later in his performance he also does multitonal singing, the second half of the part where he puts the microphone to his throat. watch?v=LtXrKo8Btfc

Maybe there are some fraudsters on youtube (there probarbly are), but Bobby McFerrin is legit, just check the video i linked.

@kurtilein3 yes McFerrin can do two tones but not at the same time, if you hear it carefuly. McFerrin is a vocal genius but Two tones at the same time??

He does it in the video i linked. Two tones at the same time, with a good intonation on BOTH. Just watch it. Near the end of the vid, the second half of the part where he is putting the microphone to his throat, he does it, two notes at the same time, for quite a while. Hard to miss when actually watching the vid i linked.

I can also do it, but when doing it i fail at precise intonation.
