  • @Baaaaaaches noooooo its "what are u thinking about"...

  • This is lame:/

  • i dont know what to say but i dont think its funny at all

  • @NikonF5lover The german dude meant 'THINKING' lol, not singing

  • When I was leaving France to go back to America, my train to the Frankfurt airport had a problem and everyone was told (in French, which I do not speak) to get on another train. I got on the wrong one. Long story short, when I realized I was on the wrong train (and panicked) EVERYONE in Germany I asked for help spoke english (and helped me!). Not so much english speaking in France but more than I expected.

That's my 2 cents, resume arguing...

  • @smokeemonkee I visited Paris last year and I lost the plain back,80% because of my bad planning. The other 20% was due to the fact that in my panic, the little French I knew dissapeared from my head,so when I asked transportation employees about what subway to take to the airport, etc.,even if they did speak English, there was a "laissez tomber" attitude that confused me even more. The trouble is,the French resent the domination of the English language worldwide and they show it all the time

  • @NikonF5lover No he thought they were saying "thinking" But with his accent it sounds like sinking

  • LOL

  • Comment removed

  • 'Wat are ju zinking about.."

  • Friggin classic this one ;)

  • Lol that happened to mee!

  • thinking about?

  • ..We're singing about our motherf**king sinking ship!!!LOL

  • Oh my god hahahahaha

  • "What are you seenking about?" HAHAHA!

  • ikui

  • germans know english, americans need to improve their english

  • @llVIU What the shit is an English only person doing in German waters without knowing German, stupid, he drowns for not knowing German.

  • @llVIU Germans "speak" english, silly...and the sailors on the radio were clearly British...you ignorant fuck-face.

    Sincerely,

    AMERICA

  • @llVIU question is can you speak fluent english?

  • @200147380 what's your point?

  • my english teachers german and he showed us this video. we all laughed like crazy and he's like. hey i'm german. i dont speak like that XD LOL yes i am serious. he's german

  • Couldn't this be an argument for learning German if you're going to be in German waters depending on the German Coast Guard?

  • @beamdot That is a big YES, learn German if you're going to frikken be navigating German waters, you are so right bro'.

  • @beamdot Are you fucking retarded? So you want the entire navy fleet from all corners of the world to learn each and every language of which destination they are to pass through? Instead of you dumb fucks actually taking some action into developing yourself as a country, and actually learning what most of the world has already learned? THE INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE - ENGLISH. Which benefits you more than you could possibly know, you dumb fuck.

  • @Swiftzhey ...and you are American, right?

  • @freifahrt12 I'm Norwegian. I'm proud of my country and my language, however, i know when to realize what is best for everyone, unlike you stuck up Germans.

  • @Swiftzhey well, doesn't make you more likeable. and i'm not german, i'm from switzerland. If you don't have any humour i feel very sorry for you. maybe you should spend more time outside with so called friends... it helps. and a voyage to germany would show you, that there are very many nice and friendly people. WW2 is over.

  • @freifahrt12 What does my humour have to do with this? I thought the commercial was hillarious. It was the comment from beamdot, which upset me. His comment implied strongly that people should learn german instead of complaint about germans not knowing english all too well... You should, this is 2011, everyone in the entire world should strive to learn english as best as possible in order to become more ''international'' and simplify international trade, etc. for the benfit of all.

  • @Swiftzhey Your sense of humour has everything to do with this. He made a light-hearted comment joking about the video, and you are getting mad over it. CALM DOWN.

  • @Swiftzhey And BTW i bet beamdot isnt even German, but an American, just making a joke. I would've said the same damn thing, and English is my most fluent language. You should really stop taking things on the internet so seriously.

  • @Swiftzhey i'm pretty sure beamdot's comment was meant to be ironic. maybe you were to busy studying english in order to simplify international trade as that you could have heard of this specified style of "joking".

and where's your problem with germans? why docall them dumb fucks and insult them as a nation? maybe you should spend more time on working for safety and freedom of opinion then on criticizing other people, because we don't want to see another massacre like it took place in Oslo.

  • @freifahrt12 I'm splendidly good with most forms of humour, sarcasm, irony u name it.. However that comment was not intended as such, that's for sure. And now you just sound very butthurt about your country's former dark side (Notice: former. I'm not a ''omfg u nazi scum'' type, not at all) So now you've got to have something to pinch on others. It's 4 months past that tragic event and someone i knew died on Utøya, now please, lay off those type of comments. With all due respect.

  • hahah I didnt know this was a commercial

I just remember my folks telling me a story anecdote about this "sinker" lol

  • Good one.. :)

  • sinck you very mooshy :)

  • Hitler. Nazi. 1941. Hiroshima. Nagasaki. Holocaust. Porn. Homosexuals. Racism.

There ! i just made a comment thats about to be spammed, flagged and frowned upon !

AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VIDEO.

  • @Youtub3rh4x0r you forgot wiener swastika

  • @TheodoreChell Damn :(

  • This commercial was after the titanic

  • what are....you thinking about?

  • I know they;re saying "sinking" but....it really did sound like he was saying "we are thinking!"

  • "what are you sinking about" xD

made me bloody die from louther

  • funny thing is, i even thought he said "we are thinking" at first then i realized "no u dumbass it wouldn't be an emergency! they're sinking!"

  • It doesn't quite work. Communicatively, "Mayday" is enough to realize it is an emergency message. Therefore, the receiver's reaction appears as that of a mentally retarded rather than that of a non-English speaker (something most people don't think of the German). I'm an Spanish speaker, by the way, and never took an English course.

  • Lol

  • LOL!!! "What are you singing about"?

  • "What are you sinking about?"

    "ABOUT FREAKING SINKING! HELP US!"

  • =))) really funny ad.thanks for posting

  • he thought the man on the other line is saying "we are thinking" so he replied "what are you thinking about?" nyahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

  • @arlynnemjfan What?! Is that what the joke was? :D Shit that's brilliant

  • Now *that* is fucking hilarious!

  • what are u sinking about ?? :D

  • thats what HIndu Bankers Lobby + Irani Lobby does to Western Civilization when asked for help

and when taking REWARD their English becomes PERFECTO ----

  • What I don't get is that the "th" sound is very easy to do. Just put the tip of your tongue between your upper and lower teeth (both rows of teeth should be touching your tongue) now breath out...the sound made is the "th" sound.

  • @niverent

i can't pronounce 'th' , it's a speech impediment. Speech correctors cannot fix it, they've tried.

  • @kodakalex Yes, if you have a speech impediment then you won't be able to make certain sounds.

  • @niverent but you try making sounds that arent native to your tongue. Try the nasal french Rrrrr sound. Try the gutteral German eich sound.. guaranteed you wont be able to do it properly unless you have studied the languages for a while.

  • @mpain69 I have tried making sounds from different languages, and many sounds are very hard to make. The thing is that the "th" sound is not hard to make, you just have to do what I said. I never realized beforet that the sound is made by breathing out...its very weird to me even as a native speaker. I'd compare to the dutch 'g' - its not that hard to do it just seems weird and makes non-natives self-conscious.

  • FUNNY VIDEO greetings from germany :'D

  • To all you germans who think your schools are shit......come to the USA and you will see what real shit schools are. In most inner city schools Americans "graduate" reading and writing at a the level of an 8 year old. Most of them you can't even understand what they are saying...it's all slang. They couldn't write or speak a coherent paragraph if their lives depended on it

  • @inkey2 I agree, even though I'm going to a school that failed a state-wide standart test & we're getting all the teachers with either mental or social problems. -.- But I've been to an american high school for about half a year. I loved it - but I've been one of the best students in ELA which is weird for I was the only non-native english speaker in there. xD

  • @inkey2 Be happy you have some sort of education, cause there are many countries who don't have education. Btw its not the education teaching slang, its other kids teaching slang, i will agree we are top 12 and used to be the first. I only write correct when i write for college papers but as far as the internet i could careless.

  • @inkey2

    hahahahahahaha

you should check our fucking schools in kuwait u won't believe the shit u'll see there

every bathroom door is broken by some crazy shithead and teachers just wana fuck a any student up !!!!

  • @inkey2 that goes for black guys only i think. if you want, you can get in to a good school without problems.

  • @AbyssalCry no, its not just "certain minorities"......I managed a retail store in one of the most wealthy suburbs in the country for 33 years (a suburb of Boston). We hired people from 16 to 20-something years old. The majority of them could not spell, could not do basic adding, subtracting etc and had terrible un-readable hand writing. They all spoke well and had decent computer skills but other than that useless. Also they were extremely lazy

  • @inkey2 well that sound like America though. But I did got a chance to visit some schools in that country, and it did not seem to be that bad. Although i'm not American or even close to that country, I think that the students , were way more cheerful to learn than in Lithuania. Here kids looks at it as if it was a prison, but im not saying that all of them do it like that ,but its just doesn't make sense at all ,because such a big country surly could make the schools better :l

  • Can somebody pleae tell me the name of the song at the end :D

  • @Tloc411 Beethoven - Ode an die Freunde

  • @Tloc411 That[s the European Union anthem In English that would be Ode to Joy.

  • It's funny because most Germans these days can speak English better than most English native speakers.

  • @kattowitz4 What are you implying?

  • @kattowitz4 .. with a terrible accent:))

  • @TheLastGreyGhost Not really - most Germans I have met have a perfectly fine accent ...

  • @kattowitz4 Not when i crossroad Germany DAMN i had hard times.

  • @kattowitz4 OMG SOOOOOO TRUE!

  • @kattowitz4 that sadly is not true.

  • @kattowitz4 youre so right :) du hast so recht!! (ich spreche klarerweise von den österreichern) :)

  • @kattowitz4 It's funny because that is not true at all.

  • @kattowitz4 Well then this commercial isn't for those specific germans.

  • @kattowitz4 that is unt racist.

  • @kattowitz4

    Hardly.

  • @hudson0815 In this case. You'll need an american 12 year old

  • @kattowitz4 That's absolute bullshit.

  • @BottlecapVids

    total agree

  • @kattowitz4 hahahhahaha I think that's true

  • @kattowitz4 i disagree

  • @kattowitz4 Generally speaking people who know English as a second language tend to have better grammar, if not vocabulary, than native English speakers. They tend to have preconceptions from speaking the language, while teaching from the ground up you have the correct written form in front of you when you learn, say, the s-genitive (possessive suffix e.g. Smith's).

  • @kattowitz4 ha! your right ^.^

  • @kattowitz4 actually i think the rest of the world can speak much more proper english than americans. but americans still live in their own little bubbles, thinking that they are more superior ... when they only speak one language.

  • @tangjkd Except the US has no official language. Nice try though...

  • @Ifnotpress3 it's called english if you dont know. :D

  • @tangjkd Again, US has no OFFICIAL Language. Yes, English is the dominant language, but it's not legally the "standard" language.

  • @Ifnotpress3 sure, but you know what i mean. :D

  • @Ifnotpress3 The U.S. is the second largest Spanish speaking country in the world after Mexico.

  • @03Terrestre I mean, you're wrong. Spain is the "second largest Spanish speaking country in the world after Mexico." If you're talking about it by population.

  • @tangjkd More superior? Yes. Good Engrish skills? No.

  • @tangjkd That's actually not true, at least not entirely. Many high schools are requiring a year or more of foreign language to be allowed to graduate.

  • @SeizureBobcat yes you are right. you are required to take at least two years of foreign language. but in the end, I can tell you that 99% of those students will never use it after graduation. whereas the rest of the world, they have to learn their native language, then there is english, which is widely used in the world. that's why the rest of the world are proficient at at least two languages.

  • @tangjkd That's true, but with the influx of Spanish speakers into the United States I wouldn't be surprised if Spanish became as well known in the US as English is in other countries.

  • @tangjkd No most Americans dont care to speak proper English because we prefer to speak in slagn. Just like other languages..

  • @kattowitz4 FTW are you talking aboute? I were in Germany for over a month this month, hardly anybody spoke English to the point where you could understand them without grate effort. Even in France they have more english speaking people than you have! Even the Slivenians in the countryside speaks better English.

How can you claim that the Gremans are good at english when they don't even speak english at the service stations next to autoban.

  • @SWEmanque now thats not true! i'm danish but i grew up in germany! It's true that germans aren't thaaat good at english but at least many of them are trying! In France people simply don't want to speak english!

  • @Nuenna90 Everyone I spoke too at least tryed to speak english, the germans didn't even try to slow down when talking. We even made it a game, the first person who could find 10 germans who spoke english, the one who got the most found 9 people before we had to go on.

  • @Nuenna90 That's true, but I found that if you made the effort to speak French, they suddenly could speak english.

  • @SWEmanque

LOL, you complain about the Germans that dont speak a proper English, but your English isnt perfect too, just in case you didnt notice. I am German and I grew up learning Russian at school, English just came at the end for the last few years. My parents both dont speak any word English, and why should they? They dont need it in their daily life. But in general I think Germans are pretty good in English.

  • @SWEmanque I'm German, I have never been to an English-speaking country, but so far, whenever someone talked to me in English, nobody ever complained. University students are usually really good at speaking German. However I live really, really close to the French border and I meet French people all the time. With all respect to the French who are lovely people and whom I like very much: Not many of them speak English or WANT to speak English. Their stance is: YOU have to speak French.

  • @aigoopi That's just how it is here in the states if you live near the south border -_- I lived in Texas for 6 months and boy was that a load of shit.

  • Haha, fucking may day....hahaha, sin.....king

  • Those 241 no LikeRS,, i guess they don't even no wat Sinking is,, THey need to learn English TOo!
