The series is the Ginetta G50 Championship, that is run as a support series to the British Touring Car Championship. The Cars are the Ginetta G50, probably the lowest cost race car available, starting at around £30K. The G50 also runs in the British GT championship, but that is mixed class racing

Proctor was completely unsighted before he slammed the anchors on, no fault of his at all .Breeze should have kept his wheels straight once on the grass instead of trying to get back on circuit on such a fast corner !

actually wear is right. if you go off course DO NOT get back into the racing line, especially if your car is backwards

carl breeze span right infront of me,we were on the outfield .the bang was so load it feld like i'd been punched in the chest went mark proctor hit . total accident nothing mark proctor could do.marshals ect were fantastic.i'll down load the video when i can get my laptop to accept my camera.

in my opinion the commentary is appalling, blaming the driver that hit carl breeze is just not on. In my opinion it is 100% carl breezes fault for spinning.

Anyway both drivers are OK which is the main thing.

these are 300bhp rear wheel drive cars n its not carl's fault he got it on the dirt n spun, just unfortunate that the car stopped spinning in the middle of the track and unfortunately proctor was unsighted, gld 2 hear that both drivers are ok as it looked like a real test of safety for the new 2009 G50

Carl Breezes mum was watching at the point he got hit so think how she felt. It is the way it is as racing mums and dads but it must have been bad for her. Having said that the next thought is, is the car fixable and will they give points for the race?

I was marshalling at this but was on Warwick Bridge (other side of the circuit). We were updated that both drivers were taken to the medical centre but both believed to be ok(ish). Nasty incident.

We were right next to it. Horrific accident made even worse as we couldn't tell if Proctor was ok. Had to cut the roof off to get him out. Excellent job done by the marshalls and emergency teams
