This is great, I "recognize" Chris. You play wonderful, meganote.
I was inspired by Chris too, when I was singing the first song here. Chris allowed me to use his guitarmusic of Somewhere... that gave me the courage to try... (I was very scared to sing in public than, hihi).
Thanks. Yes, I found a lot of what I wanted to play and hear in Chris's playing. Also, some of his concepts for looping and using guitar synths are just so tasteful. Thanks again for all of the kind words everyone! - Allen
Thank you... I'm glad too!. That's a Pat Metheny song called "Closer to Home." Yes a beautiful song indeed. I learned it from watching one of JazzGuitman's videos. I really liked what he was doing and it inspired me to pick up playing the guitar again. "Where will I go?" I don't know. I'll just keep practicing, when able, and perhaps try writing some tunes.
Thanks. The GR-20 has some good sounds. The GR-33 is much more flexible... especially in being able define split patches (i.e., bass sounds on strings 6,5 and E. Piano on 4,3,2,1), which is essential to the kind of solo gig I'm working on. Having both synths is great! The GR-20 does have a few killer patches though, you will enjoy it.

I love "As Whichata Falls, So Falls Whichata". I thik thats the name of Metheny's song. WHen I had it on a cassett, I wore the tape out replaying it.
Looking forward to hearing more. Peace, MM
