@pulisvdos It was pretty simple, capo on the 2nd fret...playing chord shapes in the key of Em (F#m because of the capo.) I honestly don't remember as I figured it out right before I recorded it and haven't played it since. I find it's best to figure out something you want to learn by ear. You're going to grow as a musician much faster and with more depth this way rather than reading a tab.

I don't know if I would say this is "better" than the original per se, but I can see how this version could appeal to someone who doesn't like the original.

I like the original, but it does sound dated. (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there will be those who have a problem with it.) This version won't sound dated 20 years from now.

So, for that, and the fact that this was well performed, it's definitely worth a five star rating.

Ok people might get upset at this comment, but I have to be honest.  In my opinion, this cover is better than the actual song. This is why. The original song was done by one of the greatest bands ever, but the video made people not take it seriously..this acoustic version adds a depth and seriousness to it that wasnt there before. 5 Stars man. It's a handmade Breedlove Fusion model from back when they were still in the tiny factory in Tumalo Oregon. Beautiful guitar with one of the best tones I've ever heard. Need to get it dialed in sometime though, new frets.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually like the arrangement, I think it adds an unexpected dynamic. Anyone can sing loud and full of passion but I think this makes you more attentive to the meaning of the song and lyrical implications. I think they speak loudly enough on their own.
