The phrase "Jiminy Cricket" is used in older films in place of saying "Jesus Christ" (kind of like darn instead of Damn or frick instead of the F-bomb). In the original Pinocchio the grasshopper character is unnamed and has a smaller part, Disney gave him the name. You can hear the phrase in several films that predate Pinocchio.

The only Looney Tunes character I can think of that I've ever heard of being completely banned was Speedy Gonzales and, by extension, his cousin Slowpoke. That ban was lifted, however.

you know what? i don't if you noticed but every background character in mickey's universe is a dog. Why not put other animals, like a parrot, a giraffe, a rhino, a monkey, an alligator, a bear, a penguin, a frog,etc.etc. The animators must put a more varied animal cast, instead the cliched "everybody is a dog" world
