  • I can remember Chuck Willis singing What Am I Living For", "I Don't Want To Hang Up My Rock And Roll Shoes", AND C. C. Rider In Late 50's. Too bad Chuck passed away so young. Chuck Willis, Solomon Burke and Percy Sledge were definitely in a class by themselves. THANK you for a GREAT post.

  • THINKING THAT THIS WAS AN ORIGINAL SONG BY EDDIE PERRIGRINA , UNFORTUNATELY NOT .... ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT WAS ONLY COPIED FROM SOLOMON BURKE !

  • @cpasgentil hello beautiful song hey ! yes me to have tears smiling ....bless

  • @TimothySideburns where can I purchase this video?

  • You're not bursting any bubbles. C. C. Rider was not written by Chuck Willis, though. It's a traditional.

  • @TimothySideburns yep, no one knows for sure who wrote it, but we know Ma Rainey recorded it three or four years before Chuck was born

  • Sorry to bust your bubble but the late great Chuck Willis wrote this song and recorded it on Solomon's label ATLANTIC. He also wrote CC RIDER CHUCK WILLIS

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 Well, Chuck had the big hit early but actually Fred Jay and Art Harris wrote the song.

  • I LOVE HIM!

  • Solomon Burke is great
