  • I sang it last Sunday in a cathedral in Marseille. While singing, my knees trembled...

Górecki is now in my list of preferred composers...

  • Amazing. So beautiful Bravo...pure human emotinal music..

  • 6:48 - 7:12 - a face of a bearded man wearing a suit and tie appears in the right of the image emerging from the cloud

  • What an incredible tribute to our Blessed Mother! Hail Mary full of Grace! Please forgive those who do not know you dearest Mater... I pray that the grace of knowing the fullness of God's revelation be made to all through your Son, Our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And as you stated in scripture "Do as he tells you." We know that by following you.. you always lead us to your son Jesus. You said yes to the Holy Spirit, your fiat made this possible! Hail Mary, full of grace!

  • I absolutely love this piece. Thank you for posting it, friend.

  • This version from 'Agnus Dei' was the first version I had heard and in my opinion after listening to so many others, still the best. Perfect speed, great dynamics and emotions. Though I disagree with the Catholics' tendency to promote 'Mariology', this is one of my favorite choral songs! Just beautiful!

  • @guibox3 you don't know who Maria is and what power rosary has.

  • @BezObaw According to the Bible, Mary is in the grave awaiting resurrection like the rest of the righteous dead. She was blessed to carry the Christ child, however she is not worthy of our adoration or worship and is not in heaven interceding for us. Christ and Christ alone is our salvation and only the Godhead is worthy of our devotion and praise, not a human being. Sorry but this is clearly what the bible teaches. Nonetheless, Totus Tuus is a wonderful choral song and one of my favorites!

  • @guibox3 LOL, Who do you think you are to aproach Jesus without Her guidence?Because of our indignity and sins we are light years behind Him. To interpret Bible on your hand is the arbitrary act. Just read Saint Faustina's Diary. She is a Queen of Angels, she guides us away from evil. Her Rosary is the only power to keep human race alive. The only way today is the travel on the road to Salvation through the mediacy of Mary.

  • @BezObaw Are you serious? Show me in the Bible where we need Mary to approach Jesus? My Bible says that we can boldly approach the throne. My Bible says that Christ is my mediator and high priest. I don't interpret the Bible on my hand. It has nothing to do with interpretation. I let the Bible interpret itself and it is crystal clear that Mary is no more a mediatrix between me and Christ than Barney the purple dinosaur. You blindly follow tradition. You are not following the scriptures.

  • @BezObaw Actually, you don't know either.

  • Simply beautiful

  • Gorecki...Not a one work composer...this work proves it.

  • Totus Tuus was the motto used by John Paul 2nd during his British visit of 1982. It means 'Totally Yours'' and summed up the great mans faith in God and devotion to the Blessed Virgin.

  • @tirnaog09 Actually, this was the motto of John Paul II's entire papacy: he explained where it came from in his Apostolic Letter "Rosarium Virginis Mariae" ( "The motto is of course inspired by the teaching of Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort") and what it meant to him (JP II) in his book "Crossing the Threshold of Hope."

  • pozostanie z nami w tej muzyce...

  • Stunningly gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this - it has made my night on a day we have lost such talent. He will be sorely missed. Thank you :)

  • R.I.P.

  • Powróciłeś tam, skąd do nas

    Twoją muzyką przyszedłeś,

    Mistrzu i Nauczycielu.

    Bądź i twórz tam nadal

    dla nas w pokoju...

  • May the angels bring you to paradise,

  • RIP.

  • Henryk Górecki (1933-2010)

    Requiesce in pace

  • @aNGLICANcHOIR92 It says mater Mundi Salvatoris which means in latin Mother of the World's Saviour.

  • Comment removed

  • @aNGLICANcHOIR92 Actually, this is only almost correct. Mater mundi is an incomplete phriase. The entire sentence is mater mundi salvatoris. Mother of the savior of the world. Mundi is an adjective that describes salvatoris, not mater. Mater mundi really translates to "mother of the worldwide..." The only reason I said something is because you now understand that Gorecki sets an incomplete phrase for delayed gratification and stability. It's part of what makes it beautiful:)

  • @cdbaxte Well I WAS close! LOL!

  • Oh what great suffering befalls me. Oh the praise I give up to my lord Jesus Christ. You truly are amazing. You truly are good. These writings will, by the grace of God save souls. God is good. God is great. You are amazing. I will not give my soul unto Lucifer. I will continue in this war. Holy, Holy, Holy Lord! God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
