  • "You get to see oil quantity, oil temperature, oil pressure but you don't get to see any of the engines..."

I guess if you can't turn your head to the left that's true.

  • Have you ever thought of just keeping the camera steady instead of waving it around like a flag in a breeze?

  • thank you for flying with out-dated airlines

  • Is that what Fedex says to the boxes? ;-)

  • don't get it lol

  • Its what Fedex says to its operating costs

  • APU is near the door isnt it?

  • @umahuma4 APU controls are there I think

  • i think the APU was behind the seats at the left side from the door ??Right??

  • Nope

  • @MISSIRES APU controls are on the left side of the door for me...

APU itself is between the main wheel wells.

  • gooood after noon ladys & gentlemans

please remain seat fasten your seatbelts WELCOME TO CLUELESS AIRLINE

  • Well, you know... it was a CLASS for a reason... But I'm sure you were born a 727 expert, Mr. Yeager.

  • your going to western university? i live in michigan and i'm planning on going there when I graduate highschool. wish me luck

  • Engine RPM gauge is on the Pilot/Co-pilot panel to the left of the landing gear lever. For the cargo fire suppression system false truth kinda they have always been in the C-1 / C-2 bays but not in the main cabin until the 200 series started to be converted in to Frieghter style transports. If you ever get the chance to get back in the cockpit when APU is running or when you have a GSU hooked up have one of your friends touch (system test) on the console right in front of co-pilot panel FUN

  • So what's your major there? Aviation Maintenance? BTW I believe the APU is either in the right wheel well or between the mains.

  • Aviation Flight Science, at least for 4 more months... You're right- it's between the mains.

  • 3 or 4 "monkeys" let loose in a 727 cockpit,

putting their "Spin" on what-does-what in there! lol hilarious watching them fumble and play around with gauges and switches, acting like they know what they do. ( in hillybilly accent> "this one's the oil pressure!" ha ha

  • Random question... Does the gear "wheel" spin?

  • If memory serves me correctly, it does.

  • come on! lighten up. was just seeing a great opportuninty to make a joke. Lol

the only experience i have with this aircraft, is a wonderfully modeled Simulation by Dreamfleet/Flight one. so yes, know a bit about the systems on Jets in general ( fly a lot of other ones in my sim as well, very detailed indeed) anyway, just joking. Lol

    have a good one.

  • he said wheres the oxygen.

  • whats he say at the end "wheres the ________ o don't mess with it?" Thx

  • Oxygen, "wheres the oxygen" you shouldn't really ever have to mess with it as long as its on AUTOMATIC and functioning properly...

  • That's because we also messed around in our school's old sabreliner jet, and that guy deployed the Oxygen masks in the back by playing around. So it was sort of a joke...

  • Nice vid,Thanks.

  • Nice vid. I think your instructor is a really cool guy. I'll bet he's a good instructor.

I used to FE in 727's, so it's kinda fun to see more than just a pic of the panel.

    Thanks!

  • is this at Kzoo?

  • Yep

  • Who says these arent technically advanced? Try operating one without a FE. lol.

Beautiful bird. I hear that versions with the -17 engines are practically rockets :D

  • It was taken last summer, summer 1 session

  • pat benton is my hero, when was the video made

  • awesome, we have a FedEx -100 at Purdue to work on and taxi around.

  • Exactly. It's a -200ADV, ex Fedex (still painted in their C/S). It's parked at Kalamazoo Airport (KAZO), where she just sits.

  • Its more like "high maintenance systems" The systems themselves are less advanced than airplanes today; but, it does take a trained FE to monitor the systems and troubleshoot in the event of a problem. It looks like a -100, right? Where was this airplane?

  • only use the dreamfleet B727 for Flight simulator 2004, all the systems simulated jejej

  • Nice video, where did all your others go? 727 at AZO excellent, I was supposed to get a tour of it during my PPL ground school, but that never happened.

    Stay in school!

Do you know who this is?

  • Yeah, agree when u fly 727 the work load is a lot compared to MD-11. 727 a lot of things need to be done manually unlike MD-11 program the flight plan into FMS then just monitor the aircraft only.

  • Even so, it is a "VERY" advanced aircraft. Even being old, it has everything that we need to learn about (Packs, Air cycle machine, APU, Outflow valves, Multi-disk brakes, etc.). In fact, this aircraft requires more work to fly than a 777, hence requireing 3 crew members.

  • Do you call to this "Advanced Aircraft System" you are wrong this is a very old 727 man!!!!
