Actually, my experience is..is that when i feel my lead shoulder stays lower than the back shoulder during the first phase of the downswing, my shots are straighter and have more compression (as this prevents early release). Look at the pros..their lead shoulder doesn't start rising above back shoulder till relatively late or, perhaps in the middle of the downswing.
Whoops, didn't realize a video response wouldn't let me leave a comment. I have used Michael's tip here...and it definitely works. It definitely helps me get the idea of what I should feel on the downswing. I still fight coming over the top a little bit, but this is a great tip
@JERMSLUKE I think what he is trying to show or say is if your spine angle at address does not change and instead your left shoulder points at the ball on the backswing and then your right shoulder points to the ball on the downswing you will not come over the top.
@JERMSLUKE No, the opposite. This will help you NOT come over the top. over the top is going to be pronounced by shoulders round housing-moving as in this tip will benefit a slicer, just remember to start from left hip bump first-weight transfer
this is the onl y lesson he cant explain to me .. doesnt make since

Secondary axis tilt. Need to be sure that the hips move a bit laterally, though, too.
