I absolutely love this song! I absolutely love the Talley Trio! I have met these wonderful people, and they are truly some of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life!
Jesus said not to seek the honor of men but of God, but He also said that there is praise in heaven when one sinner repents. And in the parable He told of the "prodigal son", the father rejoiced and had a feast for his son and was so happy he came home, even though he did not deserve it, as no one does. I believe that He rejoices when we overcome our weaknesses and love as God loves, and it's because of His pure love. Applause is not always to give glory to someone, sometimes it's out of joy.
@the4th911 uh, if you knew your Bible very well, you would know that Jesus will say "well done, though good and faithful servant, etc" to those entering Heaven. If He is going to say "well done", then why on earth is it a stretch to imagine He might applaud? Applause is a way of saying well done. The negative comments on this song are just beyond my comprehension.

Ofcourse this song is not based on biblical reference, when actually studying the bible, everyone will notice that when you die, you dont go to heaven immediately, but you cease to exist until God returns one day:
1 Thess 4:16. - For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
Why will God return one day if everyone's already in heaven?
Angels in heaven rejoice when a lost soul gets saved. Imagine going through the gates of pearl, I imagine there will be so much rejoicing going on, I can't wait to make the trip. What an Amazing Song. Since we just cannot even begin to know what Heaven will be like in our human minds, this is a great scene to think about. My Mom went home to be with her Lord 10 years ago & she was a quiet soul that worked for Him behind the scenes here on earth. Not much recognition on earth, but I like to think that when she saw her Lord, He told her "Well done thou good and faithful Servant" & then, just maybe, there was Applause in Heaven on her behalf.
