This movie should not be compared to Up. They're both emotional movies, but they're almost as different as differences get.

I'm not claiming here that one is better than the other. There's just no way, nor reason, to compare the two movies.

UP was an ok film... But it's not memorable. I already forgot the characters and their names. Fantastic Mr. Fox was. I remember the plot and I remember each character's name, one by one. The soundtrack is also a masterpeice and the film is the same. It gives you a good feeling and if you read the book it really does bring back memories. I'm not saying this just because I love foxes and animals.

I actually totally agree. I liked Up, but Fantastic Mr. Fox resonated with me more. I watched it three times in one day after getting it on DVD. Such a lovely film!
