Stuart Hall deserves to be a listed national monument! He is 80 on 25.12.2009 and can't commentate the footy on 26.12.2009 as said he'll still be drunk on claret - 100% ledge :o) Happy Birthday Stuart
I'm going to be giggling for days after this. Loved it as a kid and Stuart Hall is a god - who else could quote from the Greek classics when presenting IAKO(and laugh so much without being sick!)
I still miss It's A Knockout/Jeux Sans Frontieres even after 26 years off British screens. Come on BBC, stump up some cash and help the EBU bring it back even if it's just once a year like Eurovision. At least the UK would have a better chance of winning!
Absolute utter quality! The rubbish they put on TV today . . .this was utterly silly, ridiculous and FUN! Loved it and I laughed myself stupid at this clip. Thanks for posting!
im 45 and remember this so well..i nearly had a heart attack watching this again with laughter..fantastic..come on bbc bring out a dvd..do you remember the team from ely? won the european version
No sign of any DVD's in the BBC Shop come BBC make them available, I need to laugh like that more, i remember my Dad crying with laughter as a youngster, the laughter's gone from TV, re-run the shows ease us into the depression with an aching jaw!!
Brilliant! How we used to laugh in the 70's. Good clean family entertainment. I'm still wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes whilst trying to type :) Thank you for posting, keep 'em coming!
I think this is one of the funniest moments in the history of television. I remember this so well, that laugh is so contagious, l shown it to my lad tonight & he was in fits. Thank you so much for letting me see this again
Thanks nostromoau. This is one of my favourite TV clips of all time. It is certainly one of the funniest made worse (or better??) by listening to Stuart Hall unable to contain himself. I've never heard anyone laugh quite as much as he did. Priceless.
