I love metal and am also a drummer, but he didn't deserve to be at the modern drummer fest. He's just an adverage metal drummer. Carter Beauford shreds over Bittner and I know he's not metal but he rips Jason a new one.

@btruins Average? Your clueless. I'm not sure what it takes to impress you, but if you are a drummer you must be in your first year of playing. Bittner is a beast. Once you get to certain level of play its just stupid to compare. He is a great drummer. I'm quite sure no one rips him a new one. They be drummers you prefer over him, but Bittner is a beast!

@Paiste18 yes, an average drummer. Look at Dirk Vanburen, Nick Barker, Hell Hammer and he's just an average drummer. Now, I'm not saying an average metal drummer is a bad drummer. I've switched to guitar 'cause I got bored with drums after playing for 17 years, and if I could find a drummer like Bittner to play for my band, I'd be very happy. But as far as professional drummers, yes, he is average, if you can't see that, you've got no idea what metal drumming is.

@btruins He isn't average. He is far better than average weather we are talking metal or what ever style, but you being a failed drummer and playing guitar now your opinion really doesn't count. I've been paying drums for 25 years I know a superb drumming when I see it. My guess would be after 17 years you can't touch anything Bittner does, so give the guy a little respect and stop calling him average and run of the mill. He is far above average.

@Paiste18 You are failing to understand what I'm saying and just attacking my opinion on his drumming. As far as PROFESSIONAL DRUMMERS THAT PLAY METAL go, he is average. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? The key word is PROFESSIONAL. If you compare him to tons of other metal drummers who are not PROFESSIONAL he is awesome. Do you get it.

@Paiste18 Also, after playing drums for 17 years in metal, I could hop a kit and play anything Bittner does, so you after playing for 25 should be able to do the same and if not, you didn't put your time in. Another thing is if you've played for 25 years, you must be at least 30 in age, and are attacking someone you don't even know over the internet for having a different opinion than you...pretty stupid.
