30-35 is average for a horse. Most dont reach this because we shoot them when we can no longer make use of them.
His name was Red and he was an ex-racer, and even after all that abuse on his body, he still manage to reach his full potential.

Abuse = being broken before being fully skeletally developed, pushed on the flats, suffering tendon problems from being over ridden at too young of an age. Being repeatedly beaten to make him run faster. Constant falls when he went from a flat racer to hurdles. Everything takes it toll on the body.
could you explain what a "flash noseband" is? Is it the small "belt" around his nose, in front of the rings of his ehm..."iron" (I don't know the word in english so I hope you understand me this way)
that band is standard. I don't really use it, since I can put two fingers between his nose and the band ;) so don't worry, that band is just on him because it's more beautifull then without it :+

Very beautifull welsh he is so majestic, light and supple. He have a spectacular movement and pace.
