@sexygirl1152 find a long hair specialist and only have a little cut at a time, that way you can stop when you think its enough. A long hair specialist will be able to discuss it with you. I had a hunt to find one and my hair's only bra length, but it's worth it.

@rosereddoll ummn, you do know that race and culture aren't the same thing, right? culture is part of one's ethnicity. and I'm not sure they are being racist, as humans naturally are attracted to other members of their own race (natural selection), and even then, not every member of the race. it's just the what people are attracted to, i don't think they're being hateful or saying that being white gurantees beauty.

@yokiyokiay I didn't say they were the same thing. Sociology is my major, so I'm pretty familiar with these concepts. I was saying that beauty can be found in many disparate cultures and not just "Caucasian" ones. 

And preference of one race over another is indeed racist. Natural selection is not preferring your own "race". (which is socially determined) Mixing of races (disparate genetic codes) actually produce stronger progeny.

And...I'm still amazed at how thick her braid is! ^__^

@Rainhylda A major is an expertise. Racism doesn't always require hatred. Sociologically, when whites are discriminated against, it's racial bigotry not technically racism. I never said racism was DEFINED by preference. The comment I was replying to was saying only whites can be so lovely. By your logic, segregation wasn't racist because things were "separate but equal". Thinking a people are beautiful is not the same as dismissing others. I bet your BF loves you for you and not your race. ^__^

The thing most do not realize is that most prefer a type of race naturally, based on what they find attractive with looks. The same way they prefer red hair over strawberry blond. I've had non-racist white folks tell me they prefer dating white simply because they didn't find blacks they were attracted to. Segregation still dealt with the thinking of whites being supreme over blacks, by my logic.
