Tacking it on after the books are written, never having mentioned it in the books (which is the only place Dumbledore exists) means it has no effect on the book, nor on the character. For Dumbledore to be seen truly as gay, she would have had to write it into the book.
well i honestly never gave it much thought to dumbledore's sexuallity and thought this was a joke at first because of all the crap the character gets because he spends so much alone time with harry and snape but i think its nice that jkr made a fatherly figure like him homosexual. it makes him more relatable in the real world
