This would only prevent the "competition" everyone claims will make healthcare cheaper. If it is state lever you will be limited to only providers in that state.

Hold on a second, you wouldn't pay taxes on healthcare in your State if you have Single Payer. You would still pay into SS and some would be taken out of your checks for Medicare, but this would be 90% cheaper than anything you could find in the private sector that you won't care about how much is cost. Unless you fully understand how it works don't comment on it please, I have spent much time in Germany and its better than ours too...

Healthy San Francisco, although not perfect, WORKS. I had friends on it, others are no longer on it as they chose their employer-based insurance, other stayed with Healthy San Francisco.

I say if the Federal Government can't, the states can. California should take a serious look at Healthy San Francisco.
