I truly enjoyed the fuffy beginning part UNTIL the main female character lost her baby and the two broke up, having been introduced to a lie that they are siblings. I felt so sorry for Maria because she suffered through a LOT. Even though I haven't seen the Mexican version (yet), I assume it is better because, according to my mom, in that version, Maria NEVER lost her baby . That's the main reason why I'm now pissed at this show.
Anyway, while I hack into my brother's Youtube account (since I'm too lazy to create my own), let me just point out my own opinions about this show. I've became a big fan of Erich & Enchong ever since I watched Katorse so I was pretty much excited to watch this new telenovela. Now it's currently being aired here in the US where I live using TFC channel, and unfortunately, I'm pissed at the CURRENT events happening in this show. Don't get me wrong, I'm Pinoy myself. The beginning part is better.

For Mexicans out there, you should actually be happy about this because Filipinos appreciates Mexican TV shows (especially Thalia's) that has been aired in Philippine TV. And now, Filipinos are remaking it. There might be differences or changes but this is made to pattern to the liking of the Filipinos.

I really really love Maria La del barrio! But I don't like the remake. I see a good angle of Andi Eigenmann face to act as Thalia. she is very pretty when I saw her at Minsan lang kita iibigin. Erich suck!
