  • later monday by jon brion

  • thank you. you're great.

  • wow brilliant bicycles lmfao

  • I'm sending out a shout out to baakal01, I agree. For anyone watching this clip who's skeptical, I hated this movie the first time I saw it, but it grew on me fast and now it's one of my favorites. Go see it again!

  • the muffin-toss is the best part of this movie

  • how is the song in the beginning of this clip called?

it's not on the OST, as far was i know...but i could be wrong :p

  • hahaha look at jonah hill's face he makes to his mom at 1:36. it's so funny. good acting.

  • I'm just gonna accept my loneliness, and I'm gonna go to an even darker place of nothingness, from an even farther more extreme nothingness on my own!

  • this comedy is brilliant!!!

i love watching this movie over and over again lol

  • everything!/nothing! everything!/nothing! everything!/nothing! (classic).

  • This is my favorite movie! Absolutely brilliant. You really have to watch it two or three times to really begin to catch all the little nuances of the movie.

  • I love this scene!

    "You're the destroyer"

    YES!

  • "You did.But how did Sudan happen ma'am?"

Indeed. You can't stand by and watch while someone gets beat up and then expect a pat on the back for driving him to the hospital afterwards.

    Great scene.Fantastic movie.

  • one of the reasons why this movie is brilliant and original: the performance by Mark Wahlberg here. it was very refreshing to see. Haha, the second is the scene where Jude Law talks of Phil Jackson and his favorite book.

  • stephen i am so dissapointed! this is the best film ever everytime i see it it gets better

  • This film is amazing.

I love it soo much but it's always made me feel a bit wierd. The characters are just so ludicrous and completely OTT it just gives the film this feeling that its completely unreal.

  • What happens in the meadow of dusk? Funny stuff. Great scene. Says a lot about our government and how we fuck up our environment.

  • damn i thought i was actually watching it

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

people with low IQ cannot appreciate this greatness of this movie

  • Ugh...

  • cool i didnt know jonah hill was in this

  • This movie makes me laugh so much, on my top 5 movie list.

  • i got to this vid by watching a vid about existentialism that was sent to me. the vid showed some seens from this movie, and i was sure i had seen that movie, so i checked what it was, and i watched this scene. now i remember what the movie was. awesome movie. i didnt remember that it was this good.

what a great scene. a family of christian fascists and two socialist existentialists.

  • I just finished watching Jesus Camp and felt the strongest urge to watch this scene just to maintain some sanity.

    <3

  • Haha, that's what happened to me too :D

  • amazing

  • i dont see how people can...hate this movie

  • I can, they're just dumb and typical ;)

  • nicely put

  • Isn't the fat kid at the table the same dude from Superbad?

  • yea, thats jonah hill lol

  • "you shut up" this scene is unbelievable. Solid gold.

  • Oh man this scene is gold. So uncomfortable!

  • Everythig Nothing Everything Nothing! hahaha!

  • i heart this movie

  • haha OMG this scene makes me perpetually happy :)

    mark wahlberg is a genius

  • this is a f'ing brilliant movie.

i dont know why people rejected it.

david o russell is a genius.

unfortunately his wavelength is far higher than others.

  • Great Movie!

  • Why does that little kid at the beginning have a full on mustache/goatee combo.

  • i love this movie.....

    hahahaha

"well he gave you a brain too, & you messed that up pretty damn good, so"

  • the young girl in this scene is my friend sydney! haha

  • sydney is cute

  • looove it lol

  • Just relax and try not to think when you're watching it ; ) It's a brilliant film.

  • Idk why people down thumbed u so much. I totally agree. xcept I tried to watch the whole thing. I thought it all sucked.

  • a great movie!! underrated and very meaningful!

  • "he most definately is" =) marky marks a stud

  • God damn the dad is such a dick! " Steven i am so dissapointed in you!" jeese lighten up. But serioulsy this is the best scene in the movie. and the daughter is being so rude "why is he closing his eyes like that?!" I just seem to have a problem with these certain people. Great movie though. I fyou haven;t seen it i recommend that you do.

  • Mark Wahlberg: "God bless you." Perfect way to wrap up the scene.

  • the kid with the beard. at 52 seconds is classic.

  • haha brilliant!!!! neva noticed it b4 lol

  • my favourite part: when the mother is thinking they are perfect because they 'took a Sudanese refugee into their home' and marky mark says 'but how did sudan happen ma'am?' That is so right... Our transnational cooperations supported by colonial idealizations are impacting developing countries everyday ; foreign investments! I hope people really sit and think about how they are impacting

  • the best scene from i <3 huckabees...hands down.

  • no internet tonight.

    beautiful scene

  • And how did mark fall at 1:04!?!

    That was sooooo funny!!!

  • Jona Hill pushed him down

  • This movie hilarious in its own little sick way..LOL

  • Ya its so funny cuz they're all so messed up!!

  • "Jesus is never mad at us if we live with him in our hearts..."

"I hate to break it to you, but he is, he most defenitely is!"

  • "Cause you're the destroyer"

    I love it!

  • the climax of the scene is when wahlberg tosses the piece of roll at the dad, simply amazing

  • The dad of the family looks like one of the guys from that board game "Guess Who".

  • dead on.

  • i know exactly the guy you meen lol.

    and he really does hahah.

  • "What happens in the meadow at dusk?"

    "Everything!"

    "Nothing!"

    Haha...a classic line.

  • stephen i am so dissapointed, sorry mom sorry dad i did not know...................

  • If you use petroleum you're a murderer. FACT.

  • I got a friend just like him :) "You shut up."

  • destroyer,destroyer,destroyer

  • One of the greatest scenes ever. It nails the mindless American Christian family perfectly. The "We don't have to ask those kinds of questions do we mom?" question by the girl is followed by a number of questions. She knows nothing because the parents don't allow questions. The parents never asked any their entire lives. Why start now when we are in the middle of a war, running out of oil, and destroying the planet?

  • Running out of oil, according to who, the people selling it so they can charge whatever they want. Did you know that the Bush family made their fortune through oil in texas, they were partners with the Bin Laden family. John Kerry and George Bush are cousins. Look it up man, this corrupt fuckin country

  • no internet tonight

  • haha doesn't that scene seem somewhat similar to the fight between Lily and David?

  • that's jonah hill!

  • this scene is amazing. Did anyone besides me notice that in the beginning one of the kids playing has a moustache and beard?

  • I was an extra in this movie, in the scene with the kids (I was going into 8th grade). I am chasing my younger brother (the shorter one) around. I hung out with the kid with the fake mustache and beard on set. I didnt understand the beard back then even but I think we were all trying to play around.. I dunno. Costumes let me keep my shorts but I got a new shirt and new socks and some coin case to wear from my neck. I look like a total dork in this scene lol.. I'm a freshman in college now

  • I love this scene.

It's one of my many favorites.

  • this is my favourite scene in the film.

    its so good.

mark wahlberg is so perfect in it, as are the family members.

  • who would have ever thought 20 years ago that Mark e Mark would star in a film like

  • you know, seriously!

  • Seems kind of contrived.

  • This is my favourite scene in the movie.

  • ahh it makes me cringe how they use "socialism" like a dirty word! jesus was a socialist!

  • I heart Socialism.

  • I love this scene it captures the American family perfectly. "Hey I don't want to hear it again, or there'll be no internet tonight!"

"We don't need to ask questions do we mom?"

    "No honey we don't."

  • One of the best parts in the movie.

  • "I hate to break it to you, but he is, he most definitely is."

    "God Bless You."

    Oh, Mark Wahlberg

  • i agree completly

  • This scene absolutely nailed the hidden condescension and patronizing attitude that so many middle-class people in America have towards new immigrants. Notice how the kids gleefully recount the horrors that the Sudanese man has endured like it's nothing more than a fun anecdote to tell. It is clear that he is nothing more than a strange new toy whose job is to entertain his masters with his stories that seem weird and crazy to them, and toe their line in exchange for food and shelter.

  • Very well said.

  • my favourite scene too, destroyer destroyer destroyer :)

  • I LOVE this movie! This is my favorite scene.

  • hahahaha mark fell notice that?

  • "We don't have to ask those kinds of questions do we Mom?"

    ahahahahaha!

  • "I dunno He gave you a brain too and you messed that up pretty well."

  • Wahlberg hands down is the man in this scene. He's so hilarious. The dad's thumbs up after he tells him he's a fire fighter is classic.

  • this movie has a style of humor unlike anything i've seen, and it does it perfectly.

  • You should see Rushmore, it has the same kind of humor

  • my life is like this movie.

  • excellent satire

  • One of my favorite scenes from a film full of my favorite scenes. Absolutely great meditation on modern philosophy and life!

  • Jesus is very mad at you

    LOL

  • Very Original Movie

  • THIS is why this was a great film!!

  • You cannot reach omega level!

  • jEAN PAUL SARTRE

    nIETZCHE

    ARGH!

    I AM THE UBER MAN

    EVERY THING IS A WILL-TO-POWER

  • "we'd all be heros if we quit using petroleum"

  • XD at 1:44, the kid spits milk and Jason and Marky Mark are like "wtf?". so funny.

and the bread at 5:35 XD

and then they leave, and Mark goes "god bless you" XD XD XD

  • i like where they're getting at but the blow up between the actor and director was better.

  • "EVERYTHING!"

    "NOTHING!"

    Hee.

  • ever notice the little kid with the mustache by the basketball hoop? This movie's full of these little incidents, i love them all and i love this movie, i highly recommend watching it high

  • i heart huckabees...insightful,clever,intelligent and necessary. This film should be in every thinker's dvd collection!!

  • agreed

  • if you dont like this movie because of the lack of action and the too much discussions, may as well enjoy the explosion of the earth

  • I really don't know :( i'm buying the OST for myself you should too!

  • Can anybody tell me whether the song that's playing during the bike ride is from the soundtrack or just filler music?

  • It's from the soundtrack Jon Biron

  • Which track? I couldn't find it!

  • The modern happy Christian family is so perfectly nailed in this scene.

  • Has any one else noticed in this movie that when the camera pans the movie gets kinda fuzzy???

  • Best movie ever!!!111 LOL

  • I love this scene, I have the dvd, and watched this scene like 15 times at least, and every time I laugh till my stomach hearts, brilliant movies, brilliant script

  • The god gave us oil two-liner. Simply brilliant. Tommy PWNED the dad.

  • Great scene. This movie was what got me into Sartre.

    "Existence precedes Essence"

  • Existence precedes Essence.

  • agreed! this most definitely is a brilliant scene and it's one of the best in the whole movie. i love you for picking this scene and posting it.

  • "Jesus is never mad at us if we live with him in our hearts"

"I hate it to break it to you, but he is- he most definitely is."

This dialogue is so brilliant , it's hard to believe it scripted...

  • thanks for posting this, i love it!

  • God gave us oil, how can something God gave us be bad?

I don't know, he gave you a brain, and you messed that up pretty good.

    awesome.

  • What happens in the meadow at dusk? HEHE

  • i kinda dislike the african guy.

    and his familiy as well.
