Raul HAS covered I Guess Things Happen This Way. It was on a Johnny Cash tribute CD called Dressed In Black. And it was indeed aswesome.

This version of "Man In Black" and Those Poor Bastards' cover of "I Walk The Line" are the only two acceptable versions of Cash songs that weren't done by the man himself. This is an absolutely perfect rendition. Raul's voice is criminally overlooked in the pantheon of greats.

Is there any place I can buy/download this whole great tribute show? I googled it and found only the "memorial tribute show" held shortly after he died in 2003.. As a .torrent file. But it is this one I am looking for. It's known as "An All-star tribute to Johnny Cash" but damn it I can't find it...

I am old lady who loved Johnny Cash since he started out. I bought a 45 rpm record of I walk the Line. This Tribute was wonderful, and I thank you, Friendofraul, for putting this on UTube. I especially love that sweet boy singing The Man in Black. And I love the Mavericks.

I agree, Raul sounds more like JC than any other performer...I also heard a little Waylon there at the end! Awesome tribute, to make the song your own, yet do it well as a tribute to the original and then damned if you don't sound very similar to the original. Only Raul...

Don't stop at Trampoline. If you like Raul, you need all the Mavs stuff and his solo stuff. To hear the full spectrum, you need them all. You'll get country, rockabilly, latin and oh so many classics. A few of the disks won't put a dent, keep adding another when you can!
