  • I thought the lt-1 was not the prefered small block, or so I hear. That ones no slouch though :p good job. I drive an old bmw too, Im no hater

  • watching these cars makes me love my LT1 more all the time, 93 formula LT1 I/E

CHIP 160 STAT 3:73's 123,000mi even though she turned 18 yrs old she still runs

consistant 13.80 bought it back in 2000 for $7,000(my midlife crisis car lol i'm 54 now) i won't risk it but hell a 125 shot and high 12's ???

  • GO AMERICAN MUSCLE!@!@!@!

I own a 1994 trans am lt1 myself and there so fun to drive and awesome to look at =).

  • lol - you stopped the race at 100. this isn't a race - a STOCK m3 can walk from 0-100 ~10.8 seconds - the m3 was just getting into the end of 3rd gear - where it WOULD have walked away, but the dumbass driving the M stayed directly behind the trans AND/OR didn't know how to drive.

    longest run-on ever??

  • Lol, an M is just tight in the corners, and faster then a tranny on the straights. If I would like to sweep the pavement, I would get a tranny, héhé

  • not bad for an old shitter lt1!

  • And yet another M3 got served.

They never learn not to mess with real muscle, lol @ "///M Power".

  • @Grodinz Do some research. A 1994 LT1 trans am does 0-60 in 6 seconds. An E46 M3 does it in 4.9 seconds. This trans am has been heavily modded, or the M3 driver's not very good with a stick.

Either way, ///M power is usually faster than American muscle in a straight line and always much faster in the corners.

    lol @ overrated "American muscle".

  • @demoskunk

You keep pumpin your image of the ultimate driving machines and how they are totally invincible and fastest objects in the universe and whatnot. I used to have E36 M3 and god i hope i never have to drive one again.

I prefer racing them, and so far only M3s keepin up have a turbo, and mine aint even modded much.

  • @Grodinz No, BMWs are not invincible. They're not designed for drag racing, for example. But they are the most balanced and well-rounded cars ever made.

  • @demoskunk hey bitch boy you got your figures twisted the t/a is not a 0-60 in 6 secs and shit always looks good on paper. say what you want this 2000$ t/a just fucked your pricy bmw up. and i am sick of this oh well i will out handle blah blah. well get over it i live in the real world... and the next time i spank another import on my way to work and at the next light i hear this oh well on the circuit shit i think i will die of laughter

  • @JPARKERZ28 Hey, have fun "spanking" imports who aren't even racing you on your way to work. I'm sure it makes up for the fact you're driving a trailer park special with a shitty plastic interior, lol!

  • Everyone's definition of full bolt-ons is different so please just list your mods. To me, full bolt-ons means intake, TB, intake manifold, heads, cam, headers, exhaust, injectors, pulleys, tune, gears, slicks. I'm guessing this LT1 does not have all that, so just list your mods.

  • Back when this was filmed it had stock heads, a small cam (CC503 i think), useless BBK shorty headers, a single 3" exhaust with a cat, injectors, gears, ram air intake, TB, ported intake mani, rockers/springs, and about a 3k stall converter with a built auto trans, on street tires.

Cam and heads are not considered bolt ons by most people.

  • Damn with all that i'd think you would have walked that E46 more than you did. I guess a cam is not really a bolt-on but I would consider heads a bolt-on. Unbolt the intake and headers and pull 'em off. Pretty simple.

  • No offense, but you clearly have never done heads. You have to remove the rocker arms and pushrods at the very least, plus coolant, new head bolts, head gasket, etc. There's a little more to it than "just pull em off" :-)

  • Lol, ok. Well I built the motor that's in my Mustang myself in my garage from the bare block up including honing the cylinders, porting the heads, etc and helped build a friend's 7500 rpm 283 sbc. I also built the 998 auto trans in my old Dart, and the rear ends in my Dart and Mustang. But I guess i've never removed a pair of cylinder heads lol. I've also been through 4L60-E's like the one in your T/A many times. Careful who you talk down to.

  • Props, for spinning your own wrenches. Usually on a youtube comment, if someone says something like heads are a simple bolt on, it's just intake and exhaust removal, it's because they don't know WTF they're talking about. My mistake. That's a friend's T/A BTW.

  • No problem. Heads are simple to me because i've done them many times, not to mention the types of cars I do them on. Old carbureted stuff, room to work usually, not too many complications so it really is a bolt-on deal. On an M3 or LT1/LS1 it would be more difficult which is why I don't own those cars lol. Best of luck.

  • @BigBeansM3 heads are simple bolt on lol

  • European cars have better interiors, more features, and much more refinement.

Current high performance American cars, despite what people think, handle and brake just as well as Europe's best, and are usually just as fast around a track.

And "class S" racing? You're talking about video games, aren't you?

  • @cscands M cars are often faster than American muscle in a straight line, too.

And, I don't consider Corvettes to be muscle cars. They're sports cars because they are 2 seaters that do much more than just go fast in a straight line.

My E46 M3 is faster than a Hemi Challenger or a V-8 Mustang (not the new GT, of course) 0-60 and especially in the corners.

  • @demoskunk Challengers and Mustangs arn't muscle cars either they are pony cars.

  • corevette zr1 is the fastest american car europe has these cars that handle better and can beat it now i am comparing exotics lamb murcialago porsche carrera the gt2 the bugatti the konnincegg and the zonda in class s races there is even a concept lexus thats in their but there is not one american car and thats the highest lvl racing ford gt is underneith it too

  • @1337show sorry to disappoint you but as a matter of fact SSC Ultimate Aero is faster than any of these cars. It's world's fastest production car.

  • I Own 2 78 TAms auto and 4 Speed W72 WS6 I dont give a Fuck what your european car does but i can tell you that every Sunday When i Take a cruise either one of my TA Every single peaple in their BMW or MBZ Stare at me and constantly Tells me BAD ADD CAR Talking to me import is like your cussing at me,

  • Transam will definately go down in the first corner ;-)

  • I don't think you've ever driven one of them. I own one and take corners VERY often.

  • well have you driven a european performance machine??? bmw is the leader in cornering, drift u name it itll do it. i aint dissin your transam but would rather have that or a german enginnered performance machine.

  • No I'd rather have a car that looks good and has the horses to back it up. I'd rather own an American vehicle instead of overpaying for a brand name like Mercedes. Fuck your german machine. I'd rather have my American engineered performance machine. :)

  • german cars give a person a class. thts the look they give 2 people. sophistacation. as far as hp goes, a car can have 600hp but if it comes 2 a lighter car wth 350hp, the 350hp car will always win becuase of the lightweight it has. simple physics right there buddy.

  • I'm not sophisticated. I'm American and enjoy some muscle. And there's so much more to it than weight and horses. "Torque," gearing, tires, driver if its stick. And the car better be alot lighter if its gonna beat a car with a 250 horsepower advantage. And btw my leather interior, stock 500 watt sound system, and power seats I believe count for enough sophistication.

  • why are u bringing "American" into this. im american 2, i just think german cars perform better than american cars. im not anti american, or any of tht bull shit, i just think their better. your happy with your transam and im happy with my audi. thts great for the both of us. im just gonna stop here becuase ive been 2 this point before and know where this is going.

  • What makes the European car "better" than the American one? You started the conversation by asking if I'd rather have a european performance machine.

  • what dosent make them better? they add all of the state of the art technology. they have years of racing researched and this goes then into the car. they are also world class vehicles. go any where in the world and say the word audi,MB, or bmw and people will respond positively. say pontiac and people will say wht? and no im not taking about poor countries, im talking about countries equivilant 2 america. also, the sound the door makes when shut is also engineered as well as for the hood

  • Everything you said is based on opinion. You have no proof european cars are better. BMW, Audi, and Mercedes are overpriced. Americans put their research into cars as well. LS1 anybody? LS9 ZR1 Corvette destroyed every european car in the Nurburgring what? Americans dominated that track? I didn't even know that. I had no idea American technology was totally awesome. And year for year my LS1 Trans Am destroys the M3 in the quarter. I'm still not seeing what makes european cars "better."

  • the corvette had handling principles based on the european design. corvette either way is a exotic car, not a muscle car.if som1 had a exotic car whether it were a ford gt or corvette then yeah....when i talk about mb audi, bmw im talking about the street cars. such as a 3series or s5 or a s-class. not a audi r8 lets leave the exotics out of this. as far as for u winning against a m3, guys in those types of cars have really big egos. they will Suck @ driving and will thnk they are the shit

  • @recniabsal Yeah so you can sit in a tub of plastic and watch it fall apart! hell yeah!

  • Agreed......But toss an LS1 in the Bmw.....

Thats my idea of an ultimate driving machine....

  • @tierfon

Not much corners on the highway, so get used to people walking all over you.

  • not a bad run for an LT1 powered car.

  • Shit, its a fully build motor! It should be rockin ass. 2 cars to 110 is nothing.
