Yes they were, 8401 was supposed to be saved as a historic bus. Its engine got taken out and given to the people who recently bought STO 8202.

Cogeno mentoned this to you. The engine and transmissionon 8401 were removed when 8202 was sold to a private collector.

Because during 8202's final week of revenue service, 8202's engine died.

The engine was suffering from a large oil leak and there was no point repairing it.
