  • I didn't even know that Ristar was on the Game Gear, the graphics on that look great too!

  • Dude. . .That Power Strike song is one of my all time favorites. . .So beautiful.

  • Power Strike has one of the best OSTs ever. . .I'm going to do a music review on it soon. . .

  • 6.27 most one of the most epic 8 bit tunes i remember.

  • tails is gay, as the boss with the moustache in shinobi

  • @astrododo Hahaha, I that bloke was on the front cover too. I mean, it was an impressive graphics of a face, but the moustache just looks stoopid XD

  • Devilish FTW!!! but i think the music from level 1 or 3 the waterfall would have been better, they are punchier and more memorable

  • @damascus56 Devilish was so awesome! Was so impressed. In the day, Toys R us did these packs of three games for a tenner, and I got Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone, Devilish, Ninja Gaiden, Halley Wars and Aerial Assault for £20!

  • I always thought that the Defenders of Oasis town music (5:19) sounded like pirates out at sea. Shiver me timbers!

  • Power Strike II seems to be a great Game...

I Never heard this effect in GG/SMS Music engine.

  • it's actually just an echo effect using two channels and panning, but it's done very nicely. The game is probably the best portable shooter made in that era.

  • @Alianger Some of the sounds musicians made were incredible. I never played Power Strikes, but I have really fond memories of Defenders of Oasis, Lemmings, Mickey Mouse 1 & 2, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes and well - there were loads! I found a tracker called mod2psg and had a go for myself, and although it wasn't totally disasterous, it wasn't brilliant and I spent AGES on it. Ahh Fantasy Zone level 2 was nice aswell. There were so many nice musics. I really miss these days

  • @danyboychicken Yeah, I had no idea Power Strike 2 was out on the GameGear. Really nice music, kinda like a cross between Defenders of Oasis intro music and the main music in the film, Chariots of Fire

  • Woot! Royal Stone and Ristar! Nice medleys as usual Alianger. It also reminded me that I seriously have to go back to Defenders of Oasis.

  • Never heard of Tails adventure. It looks nice. A very impressive list of games. It shows that you are no stranger to games. Everything from shooters to Puyo pop. wow. One of my all-time favorite medley in a game is the Story music from GOLVELIUS for Sega Master System when you start the game. I heard that as a kid and it shaped my perception of storytelling in games.

  • Thanks, I put a lot of effort into finding and trying every game for a console so as not to miss any hidden gems. Thanfully the GG library ain't that big. And well I do use emulation for some of the hard to get stuff, makes for better vids.

Couldn't agree more, Golvellius had kickass music (by Compile btw) that really gave the game a unique, and for the time epic atmosphere.

  • Just in case you never check i just wanted you to be aware i sent you a private message cuz i need help bad, thank you for putting up this great music by the way!

  • Sweet, you started with Tails' Adventures! I loved that game.

    Nice strategy on BrightMan too.

  • Im actually a bit intrested to get a Game gear now :D

Defenders of oasis looked kinda good!

  • oh yeah, i'm getting myself a game gear again...

  • Royal Stone looks nice :D

  • ah thanks for this one! Game Gear Shinobi soundtrack is so great! I would buy a Game Gear (but one with working sound ;) ) just for this game.

The others are cool, too. Video footage is also well done. Thumbs up ^^

  • Great, more medleys from Alianger! I love to be able to watch diferent levels from each game, while listening to the music.
