My dad has been sailing for 50 years and has raced all around the world, and he happens to think this chick is a moron. It's about experience and she doesn't have any. She has an incredibly rich man sponsoring her who has no clue and cares only about himself. It is physically tough and mentally, something she just won't cope with for that amount of time. At least Mike Perham's boat was more honestly name "TotallyMoney"
Jessica has a better chance of completing the record than alot of young sailors, We havent seen the preparation and training she has done.
She may only be 16 but i think there are bigger issues with children under 16 like underage drinking, sex and drugs. She is accomplishing a dream not stabbing her arms with needles or getting high. Embrace her youth and ambitions send her support.

helicopper rescues are only able with in two hours from land, if some thing goes wrong no one can help.
