jak110sfd Its a LINE 6 Modern Hi Gain amp used the my PODxt. Line 6 rules bro! If you join my website I have this song and allot of other ones that I give all the details of what I use for each song including the exact effects and settings I use. Its all free & free to join my site. I also send out about every month or so when I have new songs coming out like my new one I just released a couple days ago called Empathy. You like this type music you should like all the music on my second channel.

I don't know how many times I was told when I was younger and one instructor said before he would teach someone that you needed have 6" fingers and bullcrap like that! lol! My best advise is practice as many styles as you can and allot! 2 - 8hrs a day! More the better when you are starting out. But I have also found to my own knowledge its not what you play but how you play it. Meaning if you love the music it will show!

Thanks, no bodies perfect. Especially after being up for almost 24 from start to finish.

As for the Epiphone Les Paul Custom? I wouldn't own one if I didn't think it was a great guitar. It out played and sounded better then many other regular Gibson guitars there that day that were $1,200 to $7,000 Gibsons. To me age/vintage of a guitar doesn mean crap if it doesn't sound and pay great! And there is nothing I haven't been able to do on this guitar yet.

Thanks but yes I have played the intro on the D. But if I was to play this song live with a band I would do it the way Metallica does it having James starting the intro off on the D like he does in the making of Ronnie video here on their Metallica channel. Then the exact parts I am doing here as Kirk parts by the way it is in the book. I do not like mixing guitar parts up when there are two guitar players like many people do on their videos. Its unrealistic and sounds like crap.

Thanks! I do not use a regular amp anymore. Not until I get my new Line 6 head want that is about 2 grand? It will take me a while to get that saving but I now use a PODxt and PODxt rack mount that I have for playing live or recording for videos. They can be ran through a mixer to its own channel and out to my Marshall stack when I am live. I create my own tones to match the songs I do. This one I use a amp called Line 6 Modern high Gain with a 4 X Cabinet. But there are many other settings.

As I said in the description I had made things my way a bit here and there. Guitar 1 that I am playing I had to come in at the same time where both guitars are playing as Guitar 2, but taking back over Guitar 1 spot. It really made a big difference in the way the break into the song sounded being direct recorded and me being the louder guitar of all 3.

I also added a slide that was not there to break the notes up to be able to come in as guitar 1 where I did at 0:28 sec. Also as I had added another part to the song later at 4:37 to 4:39 that is not in the song. It actually doesn't come in until 4:39. I had played with 3 guitar players live in a band for about 4 years so if you are going to make things sound right you have to know how to adjust, add, or cut things, but still stay on track of the written music. So I kinda re write things, cont.

when I need to, but without changing the main structures of the song. But also when I do it I also make it so it can still be played by only two guitars as they did. Only switching who did the intro. I had also played in other bands with only 1 or 2 guitar players for about 10 years. So its also fun showing people that music is not written in stone and can be done other ways without hurting the song at all.
