So the world is going to have to settle for the quality and speed that mom and pop are capable of producing even if a better service is available. Based on that logic everyone should have to drive a Ford Focus, wear clothes from k-mart, and eat dinner at Burger King.
drewp66 , you missed the point of net neutrality. If you have more money and you can have a service for a faster bandwidth rihht now you will. What is at stake here is how the local internet service provider would block the speed and the the website just because the website owners themselves could not pay them as big the large corporations can pay them.
YUp. He was explaining the quedstio so people who didnt know what net neutraliy was culd understand and then gave his answer, which was CLEAR, QUICK and to the POINT
I am not a Barack Obama supporter for many reasons, however I find nothing objectionable to the way he re-phrased the question from the speaker and answered it quite frankly. This particularly issue and his stance on it is a plus point. Whether or not He makes good on it if he wins would be another thing.
Obama also mentions 'a level playing field' in this segment. If all the candidates would have had a level playing field Obama would not be top tier. Gravel probably would.
You are laughable, Barack Obama isn't in the business of entertaining you...Pres. Bush is in office for that purpose and his actions over 2 terms; along with those of his VP should sufficiently tickle your funny bone.
Obama does posses a sense of humour; however he discusses serious issues seriously and I and many other certainly do not fault him for it.
You are entitled to your opinion however, I respectfully disagree. Everyone needs a little time to get their thought together. As for John Edwards he will be out of the race when he loses his home state. Have a great day!
Edwards have not won a primary yet...the chances of him becoming president is about the same as Ross Perot's...BTW I never said South Carolina was his home state, you did!
Meanwhile Gusrostra, someone like McCain and many other politicians would have had neither the knowledge & intellect nor the command of the English language to make the point that he did.
Not to mention, he said all of that while supporting YOU, the user, YOU the internet subscriber, while the opposition to NN wants to RIP YOU OFF and take away a major component of your intellectual freedom.
Good luck with your pointless negative commentary about someone who just pledged to protect you.
Why does it sound like he's trying to hide an Arab accent? Seriously...

Notice how much of his answer was spent phrasing the question in a dramatic way. This, my friends, is politics as usual.

He answered the question quite frankly..he said "yes, he agrees with him." So what are you talking about?

Right on the spot Gravelian.

This man is supposed to be a great orator?
It's like hearing John Kerry speak!
gusrostra 4 years ago
He is great in his speeches. These questions are unrehearsed and out of the blue. I think he did well.
sosouthernsofreaky 4 years ago
Ever noticed how he takes about three times as much time to answer a question as John Edwards?
That's because he is just another politician that can't give a straight, clear answer!

He won't get out of the race, because he believes in what he's fighting for.
btw sc is not his home state.
