why so fast, and such varying tempo? left hand is too broken, it must be a creeping, rubber-like legato. Wrong rhythm in some parts. Remember...crescendo does not mean acceleration. Play it slower. Your have no time to show true emotion. The right hand is also broken. The right hand is the melody, dont break it. Overall, unnecessary speeding up of tempo, too fast, first part is pp and mf at the loudest. save the emotion for the 3d part! You failed at doing that.
very very well done! but i have one suggestion, and its the polyrhythms messing up the triplets in ur right hand a little bit, and to make every note in the triplets more equal would make that section sound very impressive indeed :)
I've heard people tell me that writing as an art, is just as complex as playing an istrument. I used to find that hard to believe. Until I heard this, when I simply stopped believing it. It is so good to know that classical music has not died, and Rachmaninoff is quite possibly my favorite composer. Thank you for this.
@LaodMoutH I did not realize that my playing would inspire someone this deeply. I am grateful that you enjoyed my interpretation of this great piece - one of my favourites of Rachmaninoff.
Quite similar to Rach's own interpretation. Modern pianists seem to often play this in a much slower tempo, but I like both interpretations equally as much! I think your interpretation adds more meaning though, since it has an even stronger sense of remorse.
A very interesting interpretation. A very beautiful pianissimo starting of the piu vivo part! Nonetheless I think when this piece is played a little faster, it becomes a valse, not a lament for dead. And you showed a different (unusual) approach towards the large cords of the end of the second page. Anyway your interpretation is unique thanks.
Completely suited the piece and your playing complimented the mood in everyway. I would love to learn this song on piano, altthough, i am just a drum player.
I understand you were experimenting with rubato, however, sometimes I felt it was jerky and a bit too much. When you returned to the main theme, the timing there was magnificent. The rubato really worked in that part.
this is definitely a great piece for you keep play rach:))) you're awesome i love prelude in g minor if you could play that please:) i can play it but i would love to hear your interpretation:)
you have a beautiful technique, i would love it if you would play his prelude in g minor, thats the one im learning right now:) i cannot get over his gift for melody, how amazing is he?
So i'm listening to this and following along with the sheet music, and a little into the video i wondered which of the great pianists played this rendition, only to find out it was you.
Congratulations, that is really truly impressive. It's beautiful.
Very reminiscent of Rachmaninoff. I love the....well I always describe it as agitated feel but it's more that sense of pain and anguish that I can feel in your playing...especially in those chordal triplets. Amazing interpretation.

I think an even more dramatic crescendo at the climax would make your interpretation even better! But great job! You played better than me haha
