A lot of commercials are getting laughs like that lately. It's a Dave Attel joke structure. I know it's a nitpick. But advertisers constantly ripoff standup comedians and their styles. There's another commercial (for metamucil of all things) where the lady says "a lot of people think that fiber means one thing and one thing only.  And those are people that I like to call - wrong." it's the same joke type. Advertisers are total hacks (and thieves).

I'd still stick with the F-150. I love the EcoBoost, and it gets better fuel economy, which is something everyone needs these days. I just like the overall truck better. Not saying the 1500 Ram sucks, but it just doesn't cut it. Overall, Ford and Ram probably have the best trucks. Fuck GM, haha.

Ford really didn't start the Swipe, they've been only dealing with there own advantages in the first Super Duty commercials, and not calling out other directly. The difference is they actually show the advantages, this thing really doesn't show anything except a little funny skit. In the old west. Arizona, Texas, the Ford outsells the new Ram.

@SecularTechnology Well then you missed the point of the "skit." The point is, the Ram uses an engine from arguably the best diesel engine manufacturer in the world.

As for sales, they don't matter as much as profit margins do. I bet Chrysler has some pretty good margins on the Rams.

Chrysler didn't pay back it's loans, yet. Do some more research. Now Fiat officially owns Chrysler having bought the remaining 6 percent. (they owned it since '09) The Ram division wasn't pre-bailout. The bailout plans started 2008, The Ram division started in 2009. Fiat had controll of Chrysler in 2009, and bow owns the company fully. The Ram doesn't have any more steel than the F-150. The Ram uses low-strength coils, while the F-150 uses high-strength 3-bar ,extra wide steel.

Hardcore, great idea for an ad. I thought it was a movie at first haha. Ram is for sure the best truck out there. Dodge has always been the leader in style, other had plain boring blah blah trucks and Dodge has trucks with big rig styling and white face gauges with Infiniti Audio. Pickup truck ads have become so filled with over the top manly bullshit. Sam Elliot used to be one of my favorite actors. Why does he do these ads? The voice is so manipulative. Every time they come on I have to hit MUTE. Pickup truck ads keep trying to out manly each other. Have you seen the ones for the Toyota Tundra and that guy with the west texas accent? It's the worst. Oh well, what can I do? Most people seem to like the ads.
