  • I watch this with my year 8 daughter who's in top sets for everything and she knows hardly any answers and these kids know more then most ppl who've been to university, they've so obviously been given the answers beforehand

  • @dimgwalltameiben They're more intelligent than average - probably privately educated. The quesions aren't impossibly difficult, so I don't think they would need to cheat by giving them the answers.

  • @Steve7508 Oh don't be so bloody stupid recently they had "grillo", cricket in Spanish. I didn t know it and i have that subject at A level

  • where do you get these videos ?

  • does any1 know where i can find the video of when sarah mccue was on this, you see her back when the question is how many men did the grand old duke of york have please help ? xx

  • hello, how do you sign up to go on this show, please reply.

  • wtf that's like totally copying "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" and "Are you smarter than a 10 year old"? OMG!! DO COPYING THOUGH LIKE AMERICAS GOT TALENT AND BRITAINS GOT TALENT. they could at least change the name so it doesnt sound like copying

  • amercans copy all our comides

  • @thef1fan lol everyone copies everyone so theres no point about arguing about who copies who

  • We don't have to leave we have it all here MATE....

  • erm nile is in egypt, bit easy n he couldn't do that 1 :O

    i know i'm like 17 but still.

  • yeh but you had to say the continent, i dont know the answer either lol

  • why do british people join mensa?

it exists in north america, but almost no one joins it regardless of qualification

it's considered an incredibly narcissistic thing to do

  • Yeah I know; me mate joined so I took the test just to piss him off... I was well hungover as well, almost didn't go... Ah well. Job done!!

He's also aware of the stigma of joining, and is currently trying to change things so it's seen more as a social club, and not an elitist cult (still, the membership magazine is reaaallly boring)

  • If you knew some of the people that exist in Britain, you'd want to join a club that they couldnt gain entry too also.

Quit repeating everything they say dude in pink!

  • @Ironzealot7531 it is originally a British institution

  • Yeh Okai Then.

  • Hahaa. Wtf? Just Coz Know One Cares Your Like Fuckin 10 Years Old.

  • Lol Yeh Coz Your Hard.

  • Who Cares?

  • I've done it again!! Sorry iMac, meant to Reply and hit bloody remove!! I spose I am a bit of a spanner for that. Please feel free to repost.

However, picking up on a couple of points:

Many schools in the UK still use an arbitrary number system - I never attended a year 4/5/6 until I reached 4th form and GCSE - before that it was 1st - 3rd Form and Lower/Upper Remove. Plus you may find that popularity of the show has informed people how old a 5th grader is.

  • omg lol the 50,000 pound question

  • this is fake

  • Yeah well fake. The fact that I doctored 8 different videos and green-screened myself in with DIck & Dom.... Oh, and I look nothing like myself in the rest of the videos, and nor am a well-known household face... Jesus, you might as well say I nothing better to do than doctor myself in to Family Guy...

  • Sorry - accidentally removed your last comment, meant to click reply and hit 'remove' by mistake. My bad. Please repost.

  • And BTW: twat. Of course I was on it, and Mark Burnett productions sold the rights to Sky One in the UK to make the gameshow, which I applied for. Obviously most of the UK doesn't know what a 5th grader is (in the same way you Yanks don't realise you can travel outside the US) so its format was retooled for the UK - hence 10 year old. Fuck it, i'll take my Andy Warhol.... well 4x Andy Warhol, it being an hour...

    jealous??

  • Hahaha dumb yanks never leave their country its so true well said mate

  • @tonypappagiorgio Hey Tony I just wanted to say Hello again because you have met me before,

I'm Jack from the Students, Thanks for picking me by the way ;) Hope your doing well and please reply soon!

  • @halovidguysIJackI Hi mate!!! How's tricks?? Cheers for getting us through that first bit - can't believe I blanked on Edward Lear!! Hope you're doing well... you up to much?? Still gameshowing?? I'm going to apply for the Chase as well!!!

  • @tonypappagiorgio I'm doing fine, hope you do well on the chase :)

nothing going on so far but I'll keep looking :D

  • Lucky you getting onto the show. I auditioned, as a student, already overdrawn as proved by the bank statement they asked me to produce! I did mine in Birmingham. I heard they choose people who get their audition questions wrong? What do you make of this? I got 7/10 so if it is true, maybe they didn't want me taking too much of their money!

  • I got about 6/10 for the phone interview and then 5/5 at the vid interview.... so I dunno!!! Probably want all types...??

  • oh come on... even with the dollar down, this jackpot is only $50,000! We give away millions!!

  • Thanks for uploading your episode up, I just love this show...

  • The UK and other countries bought the rights to the US version. Foxworthy said on Episode 5 of Season 2, that at least 40 different countries are doing their versions of "5th Grader", which is cool and funny (the non-english versions.)

And if you want to know why UK and Australia offeres a small Jackpot than the usual $1 Million? Well right now THE BRITISH POUND is MUCH STRONGER THAN THE US DOLLAR!

  • WTF! This is the EXACT show as are you smarter than a 5th grader.... hosted by Jeff Foxworthy.... that so cheap.

  • Well duh...

  • how is it cheap there is a australia version as well!!

some uk tv programs are made into american shows!!!

  • wtf... well i didnt know that could happen i mean its exactly like it.

  • tonnes of british shows are made international. who wants to be a millionare is british with chris tarrent....i think. the weakest link is deff british. errmmm. there are loads....the office, but thats a lot different obv.

  • 150 I.Q? Really, or are you just saying that for T.v?

  • awesomee =)
