Standard setup for cobbles is a tubular wheelset with 28c tires. The team is using Bontrager Aeolus D3 tubulars. Hope this helps!

I normally ride 23c tires and looking to get a 2nd set of wheels and tires for rougher terrain.

What size tires do these pro riders use on cobblestone pavements?

23, 25, 28, 32?

@JueputaGuebon I thought 28mm, but there's also the problem of brake-clearance when you use wider wheels and tubes. Yo can have a look at Dugast tyres to learn more about really good tires look for Dugast on the net

@flemmingk100, well we have seen what the best riders can do without Riis, no win in the classics even when the whole team was built around Cancellara for that time and no win at the Tour even when the Schecks were clearly the strongest in the mountains. Either that or the obvius switch to a weaker bike (from the big S to the weak Trek).

the reason why the riders were using saxo bank socks and gear were they were not done with the team yet the contract was not up yet they had to wait till 2011 season started to start using leopard trek gear thats why

they are wearing saxo bank clothing becuase they are required by their contract to do so until a certain time. the point would be Trek should of made this video when they were free from this obligation, but Trek is trying to promote their products so they dont care if they are not in leopard clothing yet.

I think that it was more likely that they did not actually have the new team kit yet, because there was talk of the jerseys only being finalised days before the team was officially announced...

@yellowcactus7 yes i know that they were in saxo bank last year and i think they lost tour when Frank Sleck was hurt...but this year they will probably be even stronger with Jakob Fuglsang whose form is still in rising and i think that he will be huge help in mountain stages. Brice Feillu is also great talent for mountains but still in tour luck is always part of winning so lets hope for the best:)
