  • dude, this didn't help me at all, i need to know how to make one, not how to watch you show off with yours

  • @kevin201821 So i suppose you didn't take the time to follow the link in the description, or read other people's comments and the advice I gave them. I hope you have a fun time building yours using your own creativity and ingenuity, not someone else's step by step instructions.

  • check out my hydrogen arm

  • check out mine

  • how are you rotating its base??????... (need an urgent reply) thanks for posting it as helped me lot in my project.

  • @saniasafdar glad it helped!

We used hydraulics to push a small "neck" that attaches the wooden base to the bottom of the hydraulic arm. the neck pivots on an axle (we made it out of wood), and isn't actually glued to either the wooden base or bottom of the hydraulic arm. remember it has to rotate freely.

If you go to the link in the description, and then go to "schematics" the image might help you understand better. Good Luck :)

  • I have make this thing and I'm in grd 8

  • @iHakZorZ

    Good luck :)

  • @soccerjudo10 ty. but i have no idea how to lift a 4x4x5cm box with no lift thingy that your cylinder has. i know you have to use a claw but we only have 6 syringes.

  • can u plz send me a diagram so i can use for project

    :)

  • @matloc12345

The diagram is posted on my website in the description :)

    Good luck with your project!

  • dude i need help, how do u make this its incredible, your link that u gave me doesnt explain how to build this i need help!!! How long did it take to build too?

  • @rydmen Don't worry its simple to make. Just follow the design on my site (the Image with the profile views) and make the pieces out of corrugated plastic. Use a hot glue gun to join the pieces together and to stick the hydraulics in place.

Two of the hydraulic systems (4 syringes, each system attached by a tube) should push out against a part of the arm and extend or lift it. The other syringe system should be placed at the bottom and push on the neck of the base. anything else? :P

  • @rydmen it took me about 4 days (one hour per day) to build it and about a day of practice to get good :)

  • haha, im making one of these for an engineering tech class, using only 8 total syringes, and we have to clear 16 "mines" from a designated feild and drop them into a wooden box in order to pass the class... the arm is going to be large...

  • @TheRastamon42 Definitely sounds harder than our project, thats a lot of objects to pick up :D good luck with it!

  • @soccerjudo10 ARARARARARAWR! i finally finished... the teacher ended up having us only clear 9 mines instead... it was really hard.... but check my channel, i uploaded a vid of the actual testing.

  • @TheRastamon42 just watched it. and i have to say it's quite impressive!

  • How did you make it rotate around? Or did you just spin it around with your hands?

  • @ShugoCharaDokiHeart

    1. We attached two syringes together with a plastic tube and filled it with water.

    2. Then we placed one so that, when the syringe's top extends (by pushing on the other syringe) it pushes on the neck attaching the base of the hydraulic arm to the fixed wooden base.

    3. I recommend viewing the schematics i posted in the description, it'll help with the explanation.

  • I'm trying to build one too. Your base is very nice, how you make it?

  • @juicheng0505

i've posted the schematics for the arm on google docs, the link is in the description.

the large base is made of wood. there is a small stack of plastic pieces which are between the base and the actual hydraulic arm's bottom. the syringe pushes on the smaller stack of plastic, which makes for a larger turn angle.

  • @soccerjudo10 thanks

  • I really like your model! I'm trying to make one myself, but I'm having trouble with getting the materials. Can you please tell me where you got the plastic tubes? Did it come with the syringes?

  • @donaldfuckingd our teacher gave us the supplies... but im sure you could find plastic tubing at Home Depot or Michaels Craft Store. and no it didn't come with the syringes. But you can buy syringes at pharma plus. Just tell them what its for and have a good argument ready, cuz they might thing its for a different purpose :) good luck.... PS. use water for the liquid. i know oil is supposed to be better, but it eats away the rubber on the syringe.

  • goooooooooooood

  • @t007864 thanks :P

  • Nice!! Ours is totally gonna beat urs ;D Lol yours is SO gonna win!!!! :D

  • @fudga123 lmao. u guys still haven't finished... it might just beat ours :P
