  • thank you for this video

  • @drosofilo80 You're welcome.

  • tenshin shoden katori shinto ryu*

  • אני לא מבין מה יש להם זה לא לחימה זה היתמזמזות

  • shinto ryu is karate type? cause i thought karate was translated : open hand they are doin somert ther more in the lines of jiu jitsu iaido or kendo? looks like it lol

  • Heh, no not karate - katori. The full name is something like "Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu". But the long name is such a hazzle to say :)

Karate does indeed mean "empty hand". This is a sword art, unrelated to karate.

  • Actually Karate-Do (空手道) means the path of empty hand while Karate (唐手) means "Chinese hand". The latter is the older name for said Japanese unarmed martial art.

Just adding my two cents ^_^

I like to sound smart lol

  • Does somebody know where can I find Katori Shinto ryu school in New York City, NY?

  • Next to the railway terminal in downtown there's a small taco bell, behind that...just kidding...

this is traditional Japanese Jujitsu, not something one finds often outside of Japan, and very difficult to join even if you are Japanese...

  • the man is the younger son of O-Sensei Otake. He's great.

  • Instant Suscriber!

  • It doesnt matter. The human race is meant to survive and so are the traditions. If I become a father I'll let my children become interested in the martial arts. Hmm...Perhaps tradition is pressured on japanese youth, eh?
