  • I had a 1965 econoline pickup, it was a company supplied truck. I had it for 5 years and it was one of the best trucks I ever had. it just kept going.

  • me like econoline, but me also like dodge A100 and corvair rampside.Me know someone with all three

  • I love it when they take the van and chop it! It makes the car look better.

  • looks strangley like a vair hmm...

  • Haha, love the look of them old vans/trucks.

  • Bad-ass truck!! I've got a 65' E-100 van, It doesn't have the 165lbs weights, though.

  • So many people think they take a van and cut off the back. Yes, They did make a Ford Econoline Truck!

  • well if you knew anything about classic vehicles, then you would know this is actually a pick up truck based on a Van, and Dodge and Chevy had them as well, and they all had flat noses, thus i guess there all gay according to your bone head opinion? and one could say the new Camaro's look pretty gay, same with the Transformers movie, thus take your ignorant comments else where, as there not welcome here!

  • @amartinez97 if u new wut this was its a rare truck still worth alot of money

  • I belive Ford was manufacturing the Gen 1's with 165lbs weights in the rear bumper to keep them counterbalanced--not sure if the Dodge A-100 and Chevy Corvairs was doing the same also...

  • yes they did use a weight in the back on the Ford Econoline trucks, i think the Dodges might have had the same kind of weight, i do know the Chevy Corvair trucks didn't need a weight in the rear, due to the engine being rear mounted, and thanks for watching, and commenting,

  • i know that in a comparison video done back in the day by chevy, comparing the corvair to a dodge in braking at i think its was 45mph. the dodge decided to do a stoppie/endo, so it didnt look like it had weights in the back, but it also could have been a rigged test, becuase chevy was trying to sell the corvair

  • @Pacerace100 yep i seen that video, and i think Chevy even removed the actual rear weight from the Ford Econoline truck, and i am thinking they might have even put a weight up by the drivers feet in the Dodge and Ford, but it does look fishy when i watch that Chevy ad, one could say the Corvair with its rear mounted engine could be dangerous in the corners, since the weight would act like a pendulum

  • puhhh-ritty!!! :)

  • yep!

  • I had not seen one those in a long time. ANd its been yeras since i have seen one on the road. I remember in the 80's i would see about one or two a week, and one popular color they came is was Orange. -BOGAR!

  • An awesome example, how the heck did they find a tonneau cover for it?? Must be homemade or a retrofit, maybe repro? Great trucks, wouldn't want to be in a front end crash w/ 'em though...

  • yeah i couldn't figure out where they got the tonneau cover either? maybe custom? and a front impact would be bad,

also i got a question, i got some new tires for the truck, there Dominator Radial A/S 31x10.5-15

i read there made by Cooper, any good? i think that is the size, i could be wrong, ain't out at the truck, i know there 31" and for my 15" rims, they have OWL and i got them sticking out, they kinda look cool with Dominator written, and they look sweet on the turbines! :)

  • Cooper is my #1 tire, just from experience. That and they *were* one of the only 100% American made tires out there, which may have changed. It's hit and miss with tires though. I've had bad experiences with Wranglers, best bang for the buck seems to be Dayton Timberlines. I have Kelly Safaris on the '99, not good in snow. Best I've ever had were Goodyear MS and Vector tires, but they stopped making them. So many brands/makes out there...

  • i read my tires came from Ohio i think, and they do say MADE IN THE U.S.A. on them, so that is always a good sign, and i have heard good things from Cooper tires, and these Dominators are a sub company under Cooper tire, so all should be good, but like you said there is so many tires out there, they have a mild aggressive thread, they look like there good for on road, and some off roading, not extreme off roading, but good enough for me, and i was told there good in winter conditions and rain

  • if you go to that big classic car show you invited me and Jack (Raconter1) too, you should bring your camera along, and get some footage to upload, that would be super cool, and of course pictures! :)

  • uh oh i see orange valve covers.

Stupid idiots someday im gonna put a Ford 429 in a chevelle or corvette for revenge or something

  • not sure if its a chebby motor, but the orange is not a good thing to see, i hate when people downgrade a Ford with a chebby motor, i mean think what a pain that will be to remove when it starts knocking! :) this trucks theme song should be, I hear you knocking but you can't come in by Little Richard! :) lol lol i would never put such a prized thing as Ford 429 in anything but a fine Ford! :) a 429 '70 Torino owns any Chevelle,

  • how about a powerstroke in a corvette zr1? hahaha!

  • that sounds good! :) lol lol lol i think the powerstroke would literally give a Corvette a stroke, either that or snap the front end off! :) lol lol

  • I love those old Ford Econoline pick-ups, so unique :)
